قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ لِّيْٓ اٰيَةً ۗ قَالَ اٰيَتُكَ اَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلٰثَةَ اَيَّامٍ اِلَّا رَمْزًا ۗ وَاذْكُرْ رَّبَّكَ كَثِيْرًا وَّسَبِّحْ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْاِبْكَارِ ࣖ ٤١
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- "My Lord
- ij'ʿal
- ٱجْعَل
- make
- lī
- لِّىٓ
- for me
- āyatan
- ءَايَةًۖ
- a sign"
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- āyatuka
- ءَايَتُكَ
- your sign
- allā
- أَلَّا
- (is) that not
- tukallima
- تُكَلِّمَ
- you will speak
- l-nāsa
- ٱلنَّاسَ
- (to) the people
- thalāthata
- ثَلَٰثَةَ
- (for) three
- ayyāmin
- أَيَّامٍ
- days
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- ramzan
- رَمْزًاۗ
- (with) gestures
- wa-udh'kur
- وَٱذْكُر
- And remember
- rabbaka
- رَّبَّكَ
- your Lord
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًا
- much
- wasabbiḥ
- وَسَبِّحْ
- and glorify (Him)
- bil-ʿashiyi
- بِٱلْعَشِىِّ
- in the evening
- wal-ib'kāri
- وَٱلْإِبْكَٰرِ
- and (in) the morning"
He said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not [be able to] speak to the people for three days except by gesture. And remember your Lord much and exalt [Him with praise] in the evening and the morning." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 41)Tafsir
وَاِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ يٰمَرْيَمُ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ اصْطَفٰىكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفٰىكِ عَلٰى نِسَاۤءِ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٤٢
- wa-idh
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- qālati
- قَالَتِ
- said
- l-malāikatu
- ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
- the Angels
- yāmaryamu
- يَٰمَرْيَمُ
- "O Maryam!
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- iṣ'ṭafāki
- ٱصْطَفَىٰكِ
- (has) chosen you
- waṭahharaki
- وَطَهَّرَكِ
- and purified you
- wa-iṣ'ṭafāki
- وَٱصْطَفَىٰكِ
- and chosen you
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- nisāi
- نِسَآءِ
- (the) women
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds"
And [mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 42)Tafsir
يٰمَرْيَمُ اقْنُتِيْ لِرَبِّكِ وَاسْجُدِيْ وَارْكَعِيْ مَعَ الرَّاكِعِيْنَ ٤٣
- yāmaryamu
- يَٰمَرْيَمُ
- "O Maryam!
- uq'nutī
- ٱقْنُتِى
- Be obedient
- lirabbiki
- لِرَبِّكِ
- to your Lord
- wa-us'judī
- وَٱسْجُدِى
- and prostrate
- wa-ir'kaʿī
- وَٱرْكَعِى
- and bow down
- maʿa
- مَعَ
- with
- l-rākiʿīna
- ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
- those who bow down"
O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer]." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 43)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اَنْۢبَاۤءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوْحِيْهِ اِلَيْكَ ۗوَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ اِذْ يُلْقُوْنَ اَقْلَامَهُمْ اَيُّهُمْ يَكْفُلُ مَرْيَمَۖ وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ اِذْ يَخْتَصِمُوْنَ ٤٤
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- min
- مِنْ
- (is) from
- anbāi
- أَنۢبَآءِ
- (the) news
- l-ghaybi
- ٱلْغَيْبِ
- (of) the unseen -
- nūḥīhi
- نُوحِيهِ
- We reveal it
- ilayka
- إِلَيْكَۚ
- to you
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- you were
- ladayhim
- لَدَيْهِمْ
- with them
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- yul'qūna
- يُلْقُونَ
- they cast
- aqlāmahum
- أَقْلَٰمَهُمْ
- their pens
- ayyuhum
- أَيُّهُمْ
- (as to) which of them
- yakfulu
- يَكْفُلُ
- takes charge (of)
- maryama
- مَرْيَمَ
- Maryam;
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- you were
- ladayhim
- لَدَيْهِمْ
- with them
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- yakhtaṣimūna
- يَخْتَصِمُونَ
- they (were) disputing
That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them should be responsible for Mary. Nor were you with them when they disputed. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 44)Tafsir
اِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ يٰمَرْيَمُ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنْهُۖ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيْحُ عِيْسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيْهًا فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَۙ ٤٥

- إِذْ
- When
- qālati
- قَالَتِ
- said
- l-malāikatu
- ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
- the Angels
- yāmaryamu
- يَٰمَرْيَمُ
- "O Maryam!
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- yubashiruki
- يُبَشِّرُكِ
- gives you glad tidings
- bikalimatin
- بِكَلِمَةٍ
- of a word
- min'hu
- مِّنْهُ
- from Him
- us'muhu
- ٱسْمُهُ
- his name
- l-masīḥu
- ٱلْمَسِيحُ
- (is) the Messiah
- ʿīsā
- عِيسَى
- Isa
- ub'nu
- ٱبْنُ
- son
- maryama
- مَرْيَمَ
- (of) Maryam
- wajīhan
- وَجِيهًا
- honored
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- the world
- wal-ākhirati
- وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- and (in) the Hereafter
- wamina
- وَمِنَ
- and of
- l-muqarabīna
- ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
- those brought near (to Allah)
[And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary – distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah]. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 45)Tafsir
وَيُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِى الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا وَّمِنَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ ٤٦
- wayukallimu
- وَيُكَلِّمُ
- And he will speak
- l-nāsa
- ٱلنَّاسَ
- (to) the people
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-mahdi
- ٱلْمَهْدِ
- the cradle
- wakahlan
- وَكَهْلًا
- and (in) maturity;
- wamina
- وَمِنَ
- and (he will be) of
- l-ṣāliḥīna
- ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
- the righteous"
He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 46)Tafsir
قَالَتْ رَبِّ اَنّٰى يَكُوْنُ لِيْ وَلَدٌ وَّلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِيْ بَشَرٌ ۗ قَالَ كَذٰلِكِ اللّٰهُ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاۤءُ ۗاِذَا قَضٰٓى اَمْرًا فَاِنَّمَا يَقُوْلُ لَهٗ كُنْ فَيَكُوْنُ ٤٧

- قَالَتْ
- She said
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- "My Lord
- annā
- أَنَّىٰ
- how
- yakūnu
- يَكُونُ
- is [it]
- lī
- لِى
- for me
- waladun
- وَلَدٌ
- a boy
- walam
- وَلَمْ
- and (has) not
- yamsasnī
- يَمْسَسْنِى
- touch(ed) me
- basharun
- بَشَرٌۖ
- any man?"
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- kadhāliki
- كَذَٰلِكِ
- "Thus
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- yakhluqu
- يَخْلُقُ
- creates
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُۚ
- He wills
- idhā
- إِذَا
- When
- qaḍā
- قَضَىٰٓ
- He decrees
- amran
- أَمْرًا
- a matter
- fa-innamā
- فَإِنَّمَا
- then only
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- He says
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- to it
- kun
- كُن
- "Be"
- fayakūnu
- فَيَكُونُ
- and it becomes
She said, "My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?" [The angel] said, "Such is Allah; He creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 47)Tafsir
وَيُعَلِّمُهُ الْكِتٰبَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرٰىةَ وَالْاِنْجِيْلَۚ ٤٨
- wayuʿallimuhu
- وَيُعَلِّمُهُ
- And He will teach him
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- wal-ḥik'mata
- وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ
- and [the] wisdom
- wal-tawrāta
- وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ
- and the Taurat
- wal-injīla
- وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ
- and the Injeel
And He will teach him writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 48)Tafsir
وَرَسُوْلًا اِلٰى بَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ ەۙ اَنِّيْ قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِاٰيَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ ۙاَنِّيْٓ اَخْلُقُ لَكُمْ مِّنَ الطِّيْنِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ الطَّيْرِ فَاَنْفُخُ فِيْهِ فَيَكُوْنُ طَيْرًاۢ بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ ۚوَاُبْرِئُ الْاَكْمَهَ وَالْاَبْرَصَ وَاُحْيِ الْمَوْتٰى بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ ۚوَاُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا تَأْكُلُوْنَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُوْنَ ۙفِيْ بُيُوْتِكُمْ ۗاِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لَّكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَۚ ٤٩
- warasūlan
- وَرَسُولًا
- And (make him) a Messenger
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- banī
- بَنِىٓ
- (the) Children
- is'rāīla
- إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
- (of) Israel
- annī
- أَنِّى
- "Indeed I
- qad
- قَدْ
- [surely]
- ji'tukum
- جِئْتُكُم
- [I] (have) come (to) you
- biāyatin
- بِـَٔايَةٍ
- with a sign
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbikum
- رَّبِّكُمْۖ
- your Lord
- annī
- أَنِّىٓ
- that I
- akhluqu
- أَخْلُقُ
- [I] design
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-ṭīni
- ٱلطِّينِ
- [the] clay
- kahayati
- كَهَيْـَٔةِ
- like (the) form
- l-ṭayri
- ٱلطَّيْرِ
- (of) the bird
- fa-anfukhu
- فَأَنفُخُ
- then I breath
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- into it
- fayakūnu
- فَيَكُونُ
- and it becomes
- ṭayran
- طَيْرًۢا
- a bird
- bi-idh'ni
- بِإِذْنِ
- by (the) permission
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- (of) Allah
- wa-ub'ri-u
- وَأُبْرِئُ
- And I cure
- l-akmaha
- ٱلْأَكْمَهَ
- the blind
- wal-abraṣa
- وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ
- and the leper
- wa-uḥ'yī
- وَأُحْىِ
- and I give life
- l-mawtā
- ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
- (to) the dead
- bi-idh'ni
- بِإِذْنِ
- by (the) permission
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- (of) Allah
- wa-unabbi-ukum
- وَأُنَبِّئُكُم
- And I inform you
- bimā
- بِمَا
- of what
- takulūna
- تَأْكُلُونَ
- you eat
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- taddakhirūna
- تَدَّخِرُونَ
- you store
- fī
- فِى
- in
- buyūtikum
- بُيُوتِكُمْۚ
- your houses
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laāyatan
- لَءَايَةً
- (is) surely a sign
- lakum
- لَّكُمْ
- for you
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُم
- you are
- mu'minīna
- مُّؤْمِنِينَ
- believers
And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah. And I cure the blind [from birth] and the leper, and I give life to the dead – by permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 49)Tafsir
وَمُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرٰىةِ وَلِاُحِلَّ لَكُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِيْ حُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَجِئْتُكُمْ بِاٰيَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْۗ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ ٥٠
- wamuṣaddiqan
- وَمُصَدِّقًا
- And confirming
- limā
- لِّمَا
- that which
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- (was)
- yadayya
- يَدَىَّ
- before me
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-tawrāti
- ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ
- the Taurat
- wali-uḥilla
- وَلِأُحِلَّ
- and so that I make lawful
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- baʿḍa
- بَعْضَ
- some
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (of) that which
- ḥurrima
- حُرِّمَ
- was forbidden
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْۚ
- to you
- waji'tukum
- وَجِئْتُكُم
- And I (have) come to you
- biāyatin
- بِـَٔايَةٍ
- with a sign
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbikum
- رَّبِّكُمْ
- your Lord
- fa-ittaqū
- فَٱتَّقُوا۟
- So fear
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- wa-aṭīʿūni
- وَأَطِيعُونِ
- and obey me
And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 50)Tafsir
