كَدَأْبِ اٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَۙ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْۗ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَاۚ فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ ١١
- kadabi
- كَدَأْبِ
- Like behavior
- āli
- ءَالِ
- (of the) people
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- (of) Firaun
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those who
- min
- مِن
- (were) from
- qablihim
- قَبْلِهِمْۚ
- before them
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- They denied
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- Our Signs
- fa-akhadhahumu
- فَأَخَذَهُمُ
- so seized them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- bidhunūbihim
- بِذُنُوبِهِمْۗ
- for their sins
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- shadīdu
- شَدِيدُ
- (is) severe
- l-ʿiqābi
- ٱلْعِقَابِ
- (in) [the] punishment
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. And Allah is severe in penalty. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 11)Tafsir
قُلْ لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا سَتُغْلَبُوْنَ وَتُحْشَرُوْنَ اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَ ۗ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ ١٢
- qul
- قُل
- Say
- lilladhīna
- لِّلَّذِينَ
- to those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve[d]
- satugh'labūna
- سَتُغْلَبُونَ
- "You will be overcome
- watuḥ'sharūna
- وَتُحْشَرُونَ
- and you will be gathered
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- jahannama
- جَهَنَّمَۚ
- Hell
- wabi'sa
- وَبِئْسَ
- [and] an evil
- l-mihādu
- ٱلْمِهَادُ
- [the] resting place
Say to those who disbelieve, "You will be overcome and gathered together to Hell, and wretched is the resting place." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 12)Tafsir
قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ اٰيَةٌ فِيْ فِئَتَيْنِ الْتَقَتَا ۗفِئَةٌ تُقَاتِلُ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَاُخْرٰى كَافِرَةٌ يَّرَوْنَهُمْ مِّثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ ۗوَاللّٰهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِهٖ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ ۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّاُولِى الْاَبْصَارِ ١٣

- ءَايَةٌ

- (the) two hosts

- ٱلْتَقَتَاۖ
- which met
- fi-atun
- فِئَةٌ
- one group
- tuqātilu
- تُقَٰتِلُ
- fighting
- fī
- فِى
- in
- sabīli
- سَبِيلِ
- (the) way
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wa-ukh'rā
- وَأُخْرَىٰ
- and another
- kāfiratun
- كَافِرَةٌ
- disbelievers
- yarawnahum
- يَرَوْنَهُم
- They were seeing them
- mith'layhim
- مِّثْلَيْهِمْ
- twice of them
- raya
- رَأْىَ
- with the sight
- l-ʿayni
- ٱلْعَيْنِۚ
- (of) their eyes
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- yu-ayyidu
- يُؤَيِّدُ
- supports
- binaṣrihi
- بِنَصْرِهِۦ
- with His help
- man
- مَن
- whom
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُۗ
- He wills
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laʿib'ratan
- لَعِبْرَةً
- surely (is) a lesson
- li-ulī
- لِّأُو۟لِى
- for the owners
- l-abṣāri
- ٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ
- (of) vision
Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met [in combat at Badr] – one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 13)Tafsir
زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوٰتِ مِنَ النِّسَاۤءِ وَالْبَنِيْنَ وَالْقَنَاطِيْرِ الْمُقَنْطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالْاَنْعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ ۗ ذٰلِكَ مَتَاعُ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ۗوَاللّٰهُ عِنْدَهٗ حُسْنُ الْمَاٰبِ ١٤
- zuyyina
- زُيِّنَ
- [It is] beautified
- lilnnāsi
- لِلنَّاسِ
- for mankind
- ḥubbu
- حُبُّ
- (is) love
- l-shahawāti
- ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ
- (of) the (things they) desire -
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-nisāi
- ٱلنِّسَآءِ
- [the] women
- wal-banīna
- وَٱلْبَنِينَ
- and [the] sons
- wal-qanāṭīri
- وَٱلْقَنَٰطِيرِ
- and [the] heaps
- l-muqanṭarati
- ٱلْمُقَنطَرَةِ
- [the] stored up
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-dhahabi
- ٱلذَّهَبِ
- [the] gold
- wal-fiḍati
- وَٱلْفِضَّةِ
- and [the] silver
- wal-khayli
- وَٱلْخَيْلِ
- and [the] horses
- l-musawamati
- ٱلْمُسَوَّمَةِ
- [the] branded
- wal-anʿāmi
- وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
- and [the] cattle
- wal-ḥarthi
- وَٱلْحَرْثِۗ
- and [the] tilled land
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- matāʿu
- مَتَٰعُ
- (is) provision
- l-ḥayati
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
- (of) life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَاۖ
- (of) the world
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- but Allah -
- ʿindahu
- عِندَهُۥ
- with Him
- ḥus'nu
- حُسْنُ
- (is an) excellent
- l-maābi
- ٱلْمَـَٔابِ
- [the] abode to return
Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire – of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return [i.e., Paradise]. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 14)Tafsir
۞ قُلْ اَؤُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخَيْرٍ مِّنْ ذٰلِكُمْ ۗ لِلَّذِيْنَ اتَّقَوْا عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنّٰتٌ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا وَاَزْوَاجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَّرِضْوَانٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ بَصِيْرٌۢ بِالْعِبَادِۚ ١٥
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- a-unabbi-ukum
- أَؤُنَبِّئُكُم
- "Shall I inform you
- bikhayrin
- بِخَيْرٍ
- of better
- min
- مِّن
- than
- dhālikum
- ذَٰلِكُمْۚ
- that
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- For those who
- ittaqaw
- ٱتَّقَوْا۟
- fear[ed]
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- with
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- their Lord
- jannātun
- جَنَّٰتٌ
- (are) Gardens
- tajrī
- تَجْرِى
- flows
- min
- مِن
- from
- taḥtihā
- تَحْتِهَا
- underneath them
- l-anhāru
- ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
- [the] rivers -
- khālidīna
- خَٰلِدِينَ
- abiding forever
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- wa-azwājun
- وَأَزْوَٰجٌ
- and spouses
- muṭahharatun
- مُّطَهَّرَةٌ
- pure
- wariḍ'wānun
- وَرِضْوَٰنٌ
- and approval
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۗ
- Allah
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- baṣīrun
- بَصِيرٌۢ
- (is) All-Seer
- bil-ʿibādi
- بِٱلْعِبَادِ
- of (His) slaves"
Say, "Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allah will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allah. And Allah is Seeing [i.e., aware] of [His] servants – (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 15)Tafsir
اَلَّذِيْنَ يَقُوْلُوْنَ رَبَّنَآ اِنَّنَآ اٰمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِۚ ١٦
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- yaqūlūna
- يَقُولُونَ
- say
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَآ
- "Our Lord!
- innanā
- إِنَّنَآ
- Indeed we
- āmannā
- ءَامَنَّا
- (have) believed
- fa-igh'fir
- فَٱغْفِرْ
- so forgive
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for us
- dhunūbanā
- ذُنُوبَنَا
- our sins
- waqinā
- وَقِنَا
- and save us
- ʿadhāba
- عَذَابَ
- (from) punishment
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- (of) the Fire"
Those who say, "Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire," (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 16)Tafsir
اَلصّٰبِرِيْنَ وَالصّٰدِقِيْنَ وَالْقٰنِتِيْنَ وَالْمُنْفِقِيْنَ وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرِيْنَ بِالْاَسْحَارِ ١٧
- al-ṣābirīna
- ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
- The patient
- wal-ṣādiqīna
- وَٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
- and the truthful
- wal-qānitīna
- وَٱلْقَٰنِتِينَ
- and the obedient
- wal-munfiqīna
- وَٱلْمُنفِقِينَ
- and those who spend
- wal-mus'taghfirīna
- وَٱلْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ
- and those who seek forgiveness
- bil-asḥāri
- بِٱلْأَسْحَارِ
- [in the] before dawn
The patient, the true, the obedient, those who spend [in the way of Allah], and those who seek forgiveness before dawn. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 17)Tafsir
شَهِدَ اللّٰهُ اَنَّهٗ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۙ وَالْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ وَاُولُوا الْعِلْمِ قَاۤىِٕمًاۢ بِالْقِسْطِۗ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ١٨

- شَهِدَ
- Bears witness
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- annahu
- أَنَّهُۥ
- that [He]
- lā
- لَآ
- (there is) no
- ilāha
- إِلَٰهَ
- god
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- huwa
- هُوَ
- Him
- wal-malāikatu
- وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
- and (so do) the Angels
- wa-ulū
- وَأُو۟لُوا۟
- and owners
- l-ʿil'mi
- ٱلْعِلْمِ
- (of) [the] knowledge
- qāiman
- قَآئِمًۢا
- standing
- bil-qis'ṭi
- بِٱلْقِسْطِۚ
- in justice
- lā
- لَآ
- (There is) no
- ilāha
- إِلَٰهَ
- god
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- huwa
- هُوَ
- Him
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- the All-Mighty
- l-ḥakīmu
- ٱلْحَكِيمُ
- the All-Wise
Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge – [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 18)Tafsir
اِنَّ الدِّيْنَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ الْاِسْلَامُ ۗ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَاۤءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًاۢ بَيْنَهُمْ ۗوَمَنْ يَّكْفُرْ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَرِيْعُ الْحِسَابِ ١٩
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-dīna
- ٱلدِّينَ
- the religion
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- near
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- l-is'lāmu
- ٱلْإِسْلَٰمُۗ
- (is) Islam
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- ikh'talafa
- ٱخْتَلَفَ
- differed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ūtū
- أُوتُوا۟
- were given
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- min
- مِنۢ
- from
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- mā
- مَا
- [what]
- jāahumu
- جَآءَهُمُ
- came to them
- l-ʿil'mu
- ٱلْعِلْمُ
- [the] knowledge
- baghyan
- بَغْيًۢا
- out of envy
- baynahum
- بَيْنَهُمْۗ
- among them
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yakfur
- يَكْفُرْ
- disbelieves
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- in (the) Verses
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- fa-inna
- فَإِنَّ
- then indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- sarīʿu
- سَرِيعُ
- (is) swift
- l-ḥisābi
- ٱلْحِسَابِ
- (in taking) account
Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is IsLam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them – out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 19)Tafsir
فَاِنْ حَاۤجُّوْكَ فَقُلْ اَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلّٰهِ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ ۗوَقُلْ لِّلَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ وَالْاُمِّيّٖنَ ءَاَسْلَمْتُمْ ۗ فَاِنْ اَسْلَمُوْا فَقَدِ اهْتَدَوْا ۚ وَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلٰغُ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ بَصِيْرٌۢ بِالْعِبَادِ ࣖ ٢٠
- fa-in
- فَإِنْ
- Then if
- ḥājjūka
- حَآجُّوكَ
- they argue with you
- faqul
- فَقُلْ
- then say
- aslamtu
- أَسْلَمْتُ
- "I have submitted
- wajhiya
- وَجْهِىَ
- myself
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- to Allah
- wamani
- وَمَنِ
- and (those) who
- ittabaʿani
- ٱتَّبَعَنِۗ
- follow me"
- waqul
- وَقُل
- And say
- lilladhīna
- لِّلَّذِينَ
- to those who
- ūtū
- أُوتُوا۟
- were given
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- wal-umiyīna
- وَٱلْأُمِّيِّۦنَ
- and the unlettered people
- a-aslamtum
- ءَأَسْلَمْتُمْۚ
- "Have you submitted yourselves?"
- fa-in
- فَإِنْ
- Then if
- aslamū
- أَسْلَمُوا۟
- they submit
- faqadi
- فَقَدِ
- then surely
- ih'tadaw
- ٱهْتَدَوا۟ۖ
- they are guided
- wa-in
- وَّإِن
- But if
- tawallaw
- تَوَلَّوْا۟
- they turn back
- fa-innamā
- فَإِنَّمَا
- then only
- ʿalayka
- عَلَيْكَ
- on you
- l-balāghu
- ٱلْبَلَٰغُۗ
- (is) to [the] convey
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- baṣīrun
- بَصِيرٌۢ
- (is) All-Seer
- bil-ʿibādi
- بِٱلْعِبَادِ
- of [His] slaves
So if they argue with you, say, "I have submitted myself to Allah [in IsLam], and [so have] those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture and [to] the unlearned, "Have you submitted yourselves?" And if they submit [in IsLam], they are rightly guided; but if they turn away – then upon you is only the [duty of] notification. And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 20)Tafsir
