وَلِيُمَحِّصَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَيَمْحَقَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ١٤١
- waliyumaḥḥiṣa
- وَلِيُمَحِّصَ
- And so that may purify
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- wayamḥaqa
- وَيَمْحَقَ
- and destroy
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- the disbelievers
And that Allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 141)Tafsir
اَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ اَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ جَاهَدُوْا مِنْكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ الصّٰبِرِيْنَ ١٤٢
- am
- أَمْ
- Or
- ḥasib'tum
- حَسِبْتُمْ
- do you think
- an
- أَن
- that
- tadkhulū
- تَدْخُلُوا۟
- you will enter
- l-janata
- ٱلْجَنَّةَ
- Paradise
- walammā
- وَلَمَّا
- while has not yet
- yaʿlami
- يَعْلَمِ
- made evident
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- jāhadū
- جَٰهَدُوا۟
- strove hard
- minkum
- مِنكُمْ
- among you
- wayaʿlama
- وَيَعْلَمَ
- and made evident
- l-ṣābirīna
- ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
- the steadfast
Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast? (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 142)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ الْمَوْتَ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ تَلْقَوْهُۖ فَقَدْ رَاَيْتُمُوْهُ وَاَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُوْنَ ࣖ ١٤٣
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used to
- tamannawna
- تَمَنَّوْنَ
- wish
- l-mawta
- ٱلْمَوْتَ
- (for) death
- min
- مِن
- from
- qabli
- قَبْلِ
- before
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- talqawhu
- تَلْقَوْهُ
- you met it
- faqad
- فَقَدْ
- then indeed
- ra-aytumūhu
- رَأَيْتُمُوهُ
- you have seen it
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- while you (were)
- tanẓurūna
- تَنظُرُونَ
- looking on
And you had certainly wished for death [i.e., martyrdom] before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 143)Tafsir
وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ اِلَّا رَسُوْلٌۚ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ ۗ اَفَا۟ىِٕنْ مَّاتَ اَوْ قُتِلَ انْقَلَبْتُمْ عَلٰٓى اَعْقَابِكُمْ ۗ وَمَنْ يَّنْقَلِبْ عَلٰى عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَنْ يَّضُرَّ اللّٰهَ شَيْـًٔا ۗوَسَيَجْزِى اللّٰهُ الشّٰكِرِيْنَ ١٤٤
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- muḥammadun
- مُحَمَّدٌ
- (is) Muhammad
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- rasūlun
- رَسُولٌ
- a Messenger
- qad
- قَدْ
- certainly
- khalat
- خَلَتْ
- passed away
- min
- مِن
- from
- qablihi
- قَبْلِهِ
- before him
- l-rusulu
- ٱلرُّسُلُۚ
- [the] (other) Messengers
- afa-in
- أَفَإِي۟ن
- So if
- māta
- مَّاتَ
- he died
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- qutila
- قُتِلَ
- is slain
- inqalabtum
- ٱنقَلَبْتُمْ
- will you turn back
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- on
- aʿqābikum
- أَعْقَٰبِكُمْۚ
- your heels?
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yanqalib
- يَنقَلِبْ
- turns back
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- ʿaqibayhi
- عَقِبَيْهِ
- his heels
- falan
- فَلَن
- then never
- yaḍurra
- يَضُرَّ
- will he harm
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔاۗ
- (in) anything
- wasayajzī
- وَسَيَجْزِى
- And will reward
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- l-shākirīna
- ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
- the grateful ones
Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 144)Tafsir
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ اَنْ تَمُوْتَ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ كِتٰبًا مُّؤَجَّلًا ۗ وَمَنْ يُّرِدْ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهٖ مِنْهَاۚ وَمَنْ يُّرِدْ ثَوَابَ الْاٰخِرَةِ نُؤْتِهٖ مِنْهَا ۗ وَسَنَجْزِى الشّٰكِرِيْنَ ١٤٥
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- linafsin
- لِنَفْسٍ
- for a soul
- an
- أَن
- that
- tamūta
- تَمُوتَ
- he dies
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- bi-idh'ni
- بِإِذْنِ
- by (the) permission
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- kitāban
- كِتَٰبًا
- (at a) decree
- mu-ajjalan
- مُّؤَجَّلًاۗ
- determined
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yurid
- يُرِدْ
- desires
- thawāba
- ثَوَابَ
- reward
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- nu'tihi
- نُؤْتِهِۦ
- We will give him
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- thereof
- waman
- وَمَن
- and whoever
- yurid
- يُرِدْ
- desires
- thawāba
- ثَوَابَ
- reward
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- (of) the Hereafter
- nu'tihi
- نُؤْتِهِۦ
- We will give him
- min'hā
- مِنْهَاۚ
- thereof
- wasanajzī
- وَسَنَجْزِى
- And We will reward
- l-shākirīna
- ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
- the grateful ones
And it is not [possible] for one to die except by permission of Allah at a decree determined. And whoever desires the reward of this world – We will give him thereof; and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter – We will give him thereof. And We will reward the grateful. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 145)Tafsir
وَكَاَيِّنْ مِّنْ نَّبِيٍّ قَاتَلَۙ مَعَهٗ رِبِّيُّوْنَ كَثِيْرٌۚ فَمَا وَهَنُوْا لِمَآ اَصَابَهُمْ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوْا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُوْا ۗ وَاللّٰهُ يُحِبُّ الصّٰبِرِيْنَ ١٤٦
- waka-ayyin
- وَكَأَيِّن
- And how many
- min
- مِّن
- from
- nabiyyin
- نَّبِىٍّ
- a Prophet
- qātala
- قَٰتَلَ
- fought
- maʿahu
- مَعَهُۥ
- with him
- ribbiyyūna
- رِبِّيُّونَ
- (were) religious scholars
- kathīrun
- كَثِيرٌ
- many
- famā
- فَمَا
- But not
- wahanū
- وَهَنُوا۟
- they lost heart
- limā
- لِمَآ
- for what
- aṣābahum
- أَصَابَهُمْ
- befell them
- fī
- فِى
- in
- sabīli
- سَبِيلِ
- (the) way
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- ḍaʿufū
- ضَعُفُوا۟
- they weakened
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- is'takānū
- ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ۗ
- they gave in
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- loves
- l-ṣābirīna
- ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
- the patient ones
And how many a prophet [fought in battle and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 146)Tafsir
وَمَا كَانَ قَوْلَهُمْ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوْا رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَا وَاِسْرَافَنَا فِيْٓ اَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ اَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ١٤٧
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- were
- qawlahum
- قَوْلَهُمْ
- their words
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- an
- أَن
- that
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they said
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- "Our Lord
- igh'fir
- ٱغْفِرْ
- forgive
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for us
- dhunūbanā
- ذُنُوبَنَا
- our sins
- wa-is'rāfanā
- وَإِسْرَافَنَا
- and our excesses
- fī
- فِىٓ
- in
- amrinā
- أَمْرِنَا
- our affairs
- wathabbit
- وَثَبِّتْ
- and make firm
- aqdāmanā
- أَقْدَامَنَا
- our feet
- wa-unṣur'nā
- وَٱنصُرْنَا
- and give us victory
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- against
- l-qawmi
- ٱلْقَوْمِ
- [the people]
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- the disbelievers"
And their words were not but that they said, "Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 147)Tafsir
فَاٰتٰىهُمُ اللّٰهُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا وَحُسْنَ ثَوَابِ الْاٰخِرَةِ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ࣖ ١٤٨
- faātāhumu
- فَـَٔاتَىٰهُمُ
- So gave them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- thawāba
- ثَوَابَ
- reward
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (in) the world
- waḥus'na
- وَحُسْنَ
- and good
- thawābi
- ثَوَابِ
- reward
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِۗ
- (in) the Hereafter
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- loves
- l-muḥ'sinīna
- ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
- the good-doers
So Allah gave them the reward of this world and the good reward of the Hereafter. And Allah loves the doers of good. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 148)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِنْ تُطِيْعُوا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا يَرُدُّوْكُمْ عَلٰٓى اَعْقَابِكُمْ فَتَنْقَلِبُوْا خٰسِرِيْنَ ١٤٩
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O you
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوٓا۟
- believe!
- in
- إِن
- If
- tuṭīʿū
- تُطِيعُوا۟
- you obey
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- yaruddūkum
- يَرُدُّوكُمْ
- they will turn you back
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- on
- aʿqābikum
- أَعْقَٰبِكُمْ
- your heels
- fatanqalibū
- فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟
- then you will turn back
- khāsirīna
- خَٰسِرِينَ
- (as) losers
O you who have believed, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will turn you back on your heels, and you will [then] become losers. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 149)Tafsir
بَلِ اللّٰهُ مَوْلٰىكُمْ ۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ النّٰصِرِيْنَ ١٥٠
- bali
- بَلِ
- Nay
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- mawlākum
- مَوْلَىٰكُمْۖ
- (is) your Protector
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and He
- khayru
- خَيْرُ
- (is the) best
- l-nāṣirīna
- ٱلنَّٰصِرِينَ
- (of) the Helpers
But Allah is your protector, and He is the best of helpers. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 150)Tafsir
