121

وَاِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ اَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيْعٌ عَلِيْمٌۙ ١٢١

wa-idh
وَإِذْ
And when
ghadawta
غَدَوْتَ
you left early morning
min
مِنْ
from
ahlika
أَهْلِكَ
your household
tubawwi-u
تُبَوِّئُ
to post
l-mu'minīna
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the believers
maqāʿida
مَقَٰعِدَ
(to take) positions
lil'qitāli
لِلْقِتَالِۗ
for the battle
wal-lahu
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
samīʿun
سَمِيعٌ
(is) All-Hearing
ʿalīmun
عَلِيمٌ
All-Knowing
And [remember] when you, [O Muhammad], left your family in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle [of Uhud] – and Allah is Hearing and Knowing – (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 121)
Tafsir
122

اِذْ هَمَّتْ طَّۤاىِٕفَتٰنِ مِنْكُمْ اَنْ تَفْشَلَاۙ وَاللّٰهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا ۗ وَعَلَى اللّٰهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ ١٢٢

idh
إِذْ
When
hammat
هَمَّت
inclined
ṭāifatāni
طَّآئِفَتَانِ
two parties
minkum
مِنكُمْ
among you
an
أَن
that
tafshalā
تَفْشَلَا
they lost heart
wal-lahu
وَٱللَّهُ
but Allah
waliyyuhumā
وَلِيُّهُمَاۗ
(was) their protector
waʿalā
وَعَلَى
And on
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
falyatawakkali
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ
let put (their) trust
l-mu'minūna
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
the believers
When two parties among you were about to lose courage, but Allah was their ally; and upon Allah the believers should rely. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 122)
Tafsir
123

وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللّٰهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَّاَنْتُمْ اَذِلَّةٌ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ ١٢٣

walaqad
وَلَقَدْ
And certainly
naṣarakumu
نَصَرَكُمُ
helped you
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
bibadrin
بِبَدْرٍ
in Badr
wa-antum
وَأَنتُمْ
while you (were)
adhillatun
أَذِلَّةٌۖ
weak
fa-ittaqū
فَٱتَّقُوا۟
So fear
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
laʿallakum
لَعَلَّكُمْ
so that you may
tashkurūna
تَشْكُرُونَ
(be) grateful
And already had Allah given you victory at [the battle of] Badr while you were weak [i.e., few in number]. Then fear Allah; perhaps you will be grateful. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 123)
Tafsir
124

اِذْ تَقُوْلُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ اَلَنْ يَّكْفِيَكُمْ اَنْ يُّمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِثَلٰثَةِ اٰلَافٍ مِّنَ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةِ مُنْزَلِيْنَۗ ١٢٤

إِذْ
When
taqūlu
تَقُولُ
you said
lil'mu'minīna
لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
to the believers
alan
أَلَن
"Is it not
yakfiyakum
يَكْفِيَكُمْ
enough for you
an
أَن
that
yumiddakum
يُمِدَّكُمْ
reinforces you
rabbukum
رَبُّكُم
your Lord
bithalāthati
بِثَلَٰثَةِ
with three
ālāfin
ءَالَٰفٍ
thousand[s]
mina
مِّنَ
[of]
l-malāikati
ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
[the] Angels
munzalīna
مُنزَلِينَ
[the ones] sent down?
[Remember] when you said to the believers, "Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down? (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 124)
Tafsir
125

بَلٰٓى ۙاِنْ تَصْبِرُوْا وَتَتَّقُوْا وَيَأْتُوْكُمْ مِّنْ فَوْرِهِمْ هٰذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِخَمْسَةِ اٰلَافٍ مِّنَ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةِ مُسَوِّمِيْنَ ١٢٥

balā
بَلَىٰٓۚ
Yes
in
إِن
if
taṣbirū
تَصْبِرُوا۟
you are patient
watattaqū
وَتَتَّقُوا۟
and fear (Allah)
wayatūkum
وَيَأْتُوكُم
and they come upon you
min
مِّن
[of]
fawrihim
فَوْرِهِمْ
suddenly
hādhā
هَٰذَا
[this]
yum'did'kum
يُمْدِدْكُمْ
will reinforce you
rabbukum
رَبُّكُم
your Lord
bikhamsati
بِخَمْسَةِ
with five
ālāfin
ءَالَٰفٍ
thousand[s]
mina
مِّنَ
[of]
l-malāikati
ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
[the] Angels
musawwimīna
مُسَوِّمِينَ
[the ones] having marks
Yes, if you remain patient and conscious of Allah and they [i.e., the enemy] come upon you [attacking] in rage, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels having marks [of distinction]." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 125)
Tafsir
126

وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللّٰهُ اِلَّا بُشْرٰى لَكُمْ وَلِتَطْمَىِٕنَّ قُلُوْبُكُمْ بِهٖ ۗ وَمَا النَّصْرُ اِلَّا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْحَكِيْمِۙ ١٢٦

wamā
وَمَا
And not
jaʿalahu
جَعَلَهُ
made it
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
illā
إِلَّا
except
bush'rā
بُشْرَىٰ
(as) good news
lakum
لَكُمْ
for you
walitaṭma-inna
وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ
and to reassure
qulūbukum
قُلُوبُكُم
your hearts
bihi
بِهِۦۗ
with it
wamā
وَمَا
And (there is) no
l-naṣru
ٱلنَّصْرُ
[the] victory
illā
إِلَّا
except
min
مِنْ
from
ʿindi
عِندِ
[near]
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
l-ʿazīzi
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
the All-Mighty
l-ḥakīmi
ٱلْحَكِيمِ
the All-Wise
And Allah made it not except as [a sign of] good tidings for you and to reassure your hearts thereby. And victory is not except from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise – (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 126)
Tafsir
127

لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفًا مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنْقَلِبُوْا خَاۤىِٕبِيْنَ ١٢٧

liyaqṭaʿa
لِيَقْطَعَ
That He may cut off
ṭarafan
طَرَفًا
a part
mina
مِّنَ
of
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوٓا۟
disbelieved
aw
أَوْ
or
yakbitahum
يَكْبِتَهُمْ
suppress them
fayanqalibū
فَيَنقَلِبُوا۟
so (that) they turn back
khāibīna
خَآئِبِينَ
disappointed
That He might cut down a section of the disbelievers or suppress them so that they turn back disappointed. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 127)
Tafsir
128

لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الْاَمْرِ شَيْءٌ اَوْ يَتُوْبَ عَلَيْهِمْ اَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَاِنَّهُمْ ظٰلِمُوْنَ ١٢٨

laysa
لَيْسَ
Not
laka
لَكَ
for you
mina
مِنَ
of
l-amri
ٱلْأَمْرِ
the decision
shayon
شَىْءٌ
(of) anything
aw
أَوْ
whether
yatūba
يَتُوبَ
He turns
ʿalayhim
عَلَيْهِمْ
to them
aw
أَوْ
or
yuʿadhibahum
يُعَذِّبَهُمْ
punishes them
fa-innahum
فَإِنَّهُمْ
for indeed they
ẓālimūna
ظَٰلِمُونَ
(are) wrongdoers
Not for you, [O Muhammad, but for Allah], is the decision whether He should [cut them down] or forgive them or punish them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 128)
Tafsir
129

وَلِلّٰهِ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِۗ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ࣖ ١٢٩

walillahi
وَلِلَّهِ
And to Allah (belongs)
مَا
what
فِى
(is) in
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
wamā
وَمَا
and what
فِى
(is) in
l-arḍi
ٱلْأَرْضِۚ
the earth
yaghfiru
يَغْفِرُ
He forgives
liman
لِمَن
[for] whom
yashāu
يَشَآءُ
He wills
wayuʿadhibu
وَيُعَذِّبُ
and punishes
man
مَن
whom
yashāu
يَشَآءُۚ
He wills
wal-lahu
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
ghafūrun
غَفُورٌ
(is) Oft-Forgiving
raḥīmun
رَّحِيمٌ
Most Merciful
And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 129)
Tafsir
130

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَأْكُلُوا الرِّبٰوٓا اَضْعَافًا مُّضٰعَفَةً ۖوَّاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَۚ ١٣٠

yāayyuhā
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
who
āmanū
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe!
لَا
(Do) not
takulū
تَأْكُلُوا۟
eat
l-riba
ٱلرِّبَوٰٓا۟
the usury
aḍʿāfan
أَضْعَٰفًا
doubled
muḍāʿafatan
مُّضَٰعَفَةًۖ
multiplied
wa-ittaqū
وَٱتَّقُوا۟
And fear
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
laʿallakum
لَعَلَّكُمْ
so that you may
tuf'liḥūna
تُفْلِحُونَ
(be) successful
O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 130)
Tafsir
