وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُوْنَ وَاَنْتُمْ تُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ اٰيٰتُ اللّٰهِ وَفِيْكُمْ رَسُوْلُهٗ ۗ وَمَنْ يَّعْتَصِمْ بِاللّٰهِ فَقَدْ هُدِيَ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ ࣖ ١٠١
- wakayfa
- وَكَيْفَ
- And how (could)
- takfurūna
- تَكْفُرُونَ
- you disbelieve
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- while [you]
- tut'lā
- تُتْلَىٰ
- is recited
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- upon you
- āyātu
- ءَايَٰتُ
- (the) Verses
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wafīkum
- وَفِيكُمْ
- and among you
- rasūluhu
- رَسُولُهُۥۗ
- (is) His Messenger?
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yaʿtaṣim
- يَعْتَصِم
- holds firmly
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- to Allah
- faqad
- فَقَدْ
- then surely
- hudiya
- هُدِىَ
- he is guided
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- ṣirāṭin
- صِرَٰطٍ
- a path
- mus'taqīmin
- مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
- straight
And how could you disbelieve while to you are being recited the verses of Allah and among you is His Messenger? And whoever holds firmly to Allah has [indeed] been guided to a straight path. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 101)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ حَقَّ تُقٰىتِهٖ وَلَا تَمُوْتُنَّ اِلَّا وَاَنْتُمْ مُّسْلِمُوْنَ ١٠٢
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O you
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe[d]!
- ittaqū
- ٱتَّقُوا۟
- Fear
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ḥaqqa
- حَقَّ
- (as is His) right
- tuqātihi
- تُقَاتِهِۦ
- (that) He (should) be feared
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- tamūtunna
- تَمُوتُنَّ
- die
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُم
- [while you]
- mus'limūna
- مُّسْلِمُونَ
- (as) Muslims
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him]. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 102)Tafsir
وَاعْتَصِمُوْا بِحَبْلِ اللّٰهِ جَمِيْعًا وَّلَا تَفَرَّقُوْا ۖوَاذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اِذْ كُنْتُمْ اَعْدَاۤءً فَاَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوْبِكُمْ فَاَصْبَحْتُمْ بِنِعْمَتِهٖٓ اِخْوَانًاۚ وَكُنْتُمْ عَلٰى شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ فَاَنْقَذَكُمْ مِّنْهَا ۗ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْ اٰيٰتِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُوْنَ ١٠٣
- wa-iʿ'taṣimū
- وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟
- And hold firmly
- biḥabli
- بِحَبْلِ
- to (the) rope
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- jamīʿan
- جَمِيعًا
- all together
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- tafarraqū
- تَفَرَّقُوا۟ۚ
- be divided
- wa-udh'kurū
- وَٱذْكُرُوا۟
- And remember
- niʿ'mata
- نِعْمَتَ
- (the) Favor
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- on you
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you were
- aʿdāan
- أَعْدَآءً
- enemies
- fa-allafa
- فَأَلَّفَ
- then He made friendship
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- between
- qulūbikum
- قُلُوبِكُمْ
- your hearts
- fa-aṣbaḥtum
- فَأَصْبَحْتُم
- then you became
- biniʿ'matihi
- بِنِعْمَتِهِۦٓ
- by His Favor
- ikh'wānan
- إِخْوَٰنًا
- brothers
- wakuntum
- وَكُنتُمْ
- And you were
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- shafā
- شَفَا
- (the) brink
- ḥuf'ratin
- حُفْرَةٍ
- (of) pit
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- the Fire
- fa-anqadhakum
- فَأَنقَذَكُم
- then He saved you
- min'hā
- مِّنْهَاۗ
- from it
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- yubayyinu
- يُبَيِّنُ
- makes clear
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- for you
- āyātihi
- ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
- His Verses
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- tahtadūna
- تَهْتَدُونَ
- (be) guided
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you – when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 103)Tafsir
وَلْتَكُنْ مِّنْكُمْ اُمَّةٌ يَّدْعُوْنَ اِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُوْنَ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ ۗ وَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ ١٠٤
- waltakun
- وَلْتَكُن
- And let there be
- minkum
- مِّنكُمْ
- among you
- ummatun
- أُمَّةٌ
- [a] people
- yadʿūna
- يَدْعُونَ
- inviting
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-khayri
- ٱلْخَيْرِ
- the good
- wayamurūna
- وَيَأْمُرُونَ
- [and] enjoining
- bil-maʿrūfi
- بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ
- the right
- wayanhawna
- وَيَنْهَوْنَ
- and forbidding
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- from
- l-munkari
- ٱلْمُنكَرِۚ
- the wrong
- wa-ulāika
- وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- and those -
- humu
- هُمُ
- they
- l-muf'liḥūna
- ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
- (are) the successful ones
And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 104)Tafsir
وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا كَالَّذِيْنَ تَفَرَّقُوْا وَاخْتَلَفُوْا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَاۤءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنٰتُ ۗ وَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيْمٌ ۙ ١٠٥
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- takūnū
- تَكُونُوا۟
- be
- ka-alladhīna
- كَٱلَّذِينَ
- like those who
- tafarraqū
- تَفَرَّقُوا۟
- became divided
- wa-ikh'talafū
- وَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟
- and differed
- min
- مِنۢ
- from
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- mā
- مَا
- what
- jāahumu
- جَآءَهُمُ
- came to them
- l-bayinātu
- ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُۚ
- the clear proofs
- wa-ulāika
- وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- And those
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- (is) a punishment
- ʿaẓīmun
- عَظِيمٌ
- great
And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 105)Tafsir
يَّوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوْهٌ وَّتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوْهٌ ۚ فَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوْهُهُمْۗ اَ كَفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ اِيْمَانِكُمْ فَذُوْقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُوْنَ ١٠٦
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (On the) Day
- tabyaḍḍu
- تَبْيَضُّ
- would become white
- wujūhun
- وُجُوهٌ
- (some) faces
- wataswaddu
- وَتَسْوَدُّ
- and would become black
- wujūhun
- وُجُوهٌۚ
- (some) faces
- fa-ammā
- فَأَمَّا
- As for
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those whose
- is'waddat
- ٱسْوَدَّتْ
- turn black
- wujūhuhum
- وُجُوهُهُمْ
- [their] faces
- akafartum
- أَكَفَرْتُم
- "Did you disbelieve
- baʿda
- بَعْدَ
- after
- īmānikum
- إِيمَٰنِكُمْ
- your belief?
- fadhūqū
- فَذُوقُوا۟
- Then taste
- l-ʿadhāba
- ٱلْعَذَابَ
- the punishment
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used to
- takfurūna
- تَكْفُرُونَ
- disbelieve"
On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve [i.e., reject faith] after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject." (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 106)Tafsir
وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ ابْيَضَّتْ وُجُوْهُهُمْ فَفِيْ رَحْمَةِ اللّٰهِ ۗ هُمْ فِيْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ ١٠٧
- wa-ammā
- وَأَمَّا
- But as for
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those whose
- ib'yaḍḍat
- ٱبْيَضَّتْ
- turn white
- wujūhuhum
- وُجُوهُهُمْ
- [their] faces
- fafī
- فَفِى
- then (they will be) in
- raḥmati
- رَحْمَةِ
- (the) Mercy
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- khālidūna
- خَٰلِدُونَ
- (will) abide forever
But as for those whose faces turn white, [they will be] within the mercy of Allah. They will abide therein eternally. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 107)Tafsir
تِلْكَ اٰيٰتُ اللّٰهِ نَتْلُوْهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّ ۗ وَمَا اللّٰهُ يُرِيْدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَ ١٠٨
- til'ka
- تِلْكَ
- These
- āyātu
- ءَايَٰتُ
- (are the) Verses
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- natlūhā
- نَتْلُوهَا
- We recite them
- ʿalayka
- عَلَيْكَ
- to you
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّۗ
- in truth
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- yurīdu
- يُرِيدُ
- wants
- ẓul'man
- ظُلْمًا
- injustice
- lil'ʿālamīna
- لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- to the worlds
These are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you, [O Muhammad], in truth; and Allah wants no injustice to the worlds [i.e., His creatures]. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 108)Tafsir
وَلِلّٰهِ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِ ۗوَاِلَى اللّٰهِ تُرْجَعُ الْاُمُوْرُ ࣖ ١٠٩
- walillahi
- وَلِلَّهِ
- And to Allah (belongs)
- mā
- مَا
- whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِۚ
- the earth
- wa-ilā
- وَإِلَى
- And to
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- tur'jaʿu
- تُرْجَعُ
- will be returned
- l-umūru
- ٱلْأُمُورُ
- the matters
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And to Allah will [all] matters be returned. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 109)Tafsir
كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ اُمَّةٍ اُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُوْنَ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ ۗ وَلَوْ اٰمَنَ اَهْلُ الْكِتٰبِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ ۗ مِنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ وَاَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفٰسِقُوْنَ ١١٠
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- You are
- khayra
- خَيْرَ
- (the) best
- ummatin
- أُمَّةٍ
- (of) people
- ukh'rijat
- أُخْرِجَتْ
- raised
- lilnnāsi
- لِلنَّاسِ
- for the mankind -
- tamurūna
- تَأْمُرُونَ
- enjoining
- bil-maʿrūfi
- بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ
- the right
- watanhawna
- وَتَنْهَوْنَ
- and forbidding
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- [from]
- l-munkari
- ٱلْمُنكَرِ
- the wrong
- watu'minūna
- وَتُؤْمِنُونَ
- and believing
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِۗ
- in Allah
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- āmana
- ءَامَنَ
- believed
- ahlu
- أَهْلُ
- (the) People
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- (of) the Book
- lakāna
- لَكَانَ
- surely would have been
- khayran
- خَيْرًا
- good
- lahum
- لَّهُمۚ
- for them
- min'humu
- مِّنْهُمُ
- Among them
- l-mu'minūna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
- (are) the believers
- wa-aktharuhumu
- وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ
- but most of them
- l-fāsiqūna
- ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ
- (are) defiantly disobedient
You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient. (QS. [3] Ali 'Imran: 110)Tafsir
