مَثَلُ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اَوْلِيَاۤءَ كَمَثَلِ الْعَنْكَبُوْتِۚ اِتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًاۗ وَاِنَّ اَوْهَنَ الْبُيُوْتِ لَبَيْتُ الْعَنْكَبُوْتِۘ لَوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٤١

- أَوْلِيَآءَ
- protectors
- kamathali
- كَمَثَلِ
- (is) like
- l-ʿankabūti
- ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ
- the spider
- ittakhadhat
- ٱتَّخَذَتْ
- who takes
- baytan
- بَيْتًاۖ
- a house
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- awhana
- أَوْهَنَ
- the weakest
- l-buyūti
- ٱلْبُيُوتِ
- (of) houses
- labaytu
- لَبَيْتُ
- (is) surely (the) house
- l-ʿankabūti
- ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِۖ
- (of) the spider
- law
- لَوْ
- if (only)
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- know
The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes [i.e., constructs] a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew. (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 41)Tafsir
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖ مِنْ شَيْءٍۗ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ٤٢
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- knows
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yadʿūna
- يَدْعُونَ
- they invoke
- min
- مِن
- besides Him
- dūnihi
- دُونِهِۦ
- besides Him
- min
- مِن
- any
- shayin
- شَىْءٍۚ
- thing
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- And He
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- (is) the All-Mighty
- l-ḥakīmu
- ٱلْحَكِيمُ
- the All-Wise
Indeed, Allah knows whatever thing they call upon other than Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 42)Tafsir
وَتِلْكَ الْاَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِۚ وَمَا يَعْقِلُهَآ اِلَّا الْعَالِمُوْنَ ٤٣
- watil'ka
- وَتِلْكَ
- And these
- l-amthālu
- ٱلْأَمْثَٰلُ
- examples
- naḍribuhā
- نَضْرِبُهَا
- We set forth
- lilnnāsi
- لِلنَّاسِۖ
- to mankind
- wamā
- وَمَا
- but not
- yaʿqiluhā
- يَعْقِلُهَآ
- will understand them
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-ʿālimūna
- ٱلْعَٰلِمُونَ
- those of knowledge
And these examples We present to the people, but none will understand them except those of knowledge. (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 43)Tafsir
خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ࣖ ۔ ٤٤
- khalaqa
- خَلَقَ
- Allah created
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah created
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- and the earth
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّۚ
- in truth
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laāyatan
- لَءَايَةً
- (is) surely a Sign
- lil'mu'minīna
- لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- for the believers
Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth. Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 44)Tafsir
اُتْلُ مَآ اُوْحِيَ اِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتٰبِ وَاَقِمِ الصَّلٰوةَۗ اِنَّ الصَّلٰوةَ تَنْهٰى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاۤءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ ۗوَلَذِكْرُ اللّٰهِ اَكْبَرُ ۗوَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُوْنَ ٤٥
- ut'lu
- ٱتْلُ
- Recite
- mā
- مَآ
- what
- ūḥiya
- أُوحِىَ
- has been revealed
- ilayka
- إِلَيْكَ
- to you
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- the Book
- wa-aqimi
- وَأَقِمِ
- and establish
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۖ
- the prayer
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- the prayer
- tanhā
- تَنْهَىٰ
- prevents
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- from
- l-faḥshāi
- ٱلْفَحْشَآءِ
- the immorality
- wal-munkari
- وَٱلْمُنكَرِۗ
- and evil deeds
- waladhik'ru
- وَلَذِكْرُ
- and surely (the) remembrance
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- akbaru
- أَكْبَرُۗ
- (is) greatest
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- knows
- mā
- مَا
- what
- taṣnaʿūna
- تَصْنَعُونَ
- you do
Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do. (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 45)Tafsir
۞ وَلَا تُجَادِلُوْٓا اَهْلَ الْكِتٰبِ اِلَّا بِالَّتِيْ هِيَ اَحْسَنُۖ اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مِنْهُمْ وَقُوْلُوْٓا اٰمَنَّا بِالَّذِيْٓ اُنْزِلَ اِلَيْنَا وَاُنْزِلَ اِلَيْكُمْ وَاِلٰهُنَا وَاِلٰهُكُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَّنَحْنُ لَهٗ مُسْلِمُوْنَ ٤٦
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- tujādilū
- تُجَٰدِلُوٓا۟
- argue
- ahla
- أَهْلَ
- (with the) People of the Book
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- (with the) People of the Book
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- bi-allatī
- بِٱلَّتِى
- by which
- hiya
- هِىَ
- [it]
- aḥsanu
- أَحْسَنُ
- (is) best
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ẓalamū
- ظَلَمُوا۟
- (do) wrong
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْۖ
- among them
- waqūlū
- وَقُولُوٓا۟
- and say
- āmannā
- ءَامَنَّا
- "We believe
- bi-alladhī
- بِٱلَّذِىٓ
- in that (which)
- unzila
- أُنزِلَ
- has been revealed
- ilaynā
- إِلَيْنَا
- to us
- wa-unzila
- وَأُنزِلَ
- and was revealed
- ilaykum
- إِلَيْكُمْ
- to you
- wa-ilāhunā
- وَإِلَٰهُنَا
- And our God
- wa-ilāhukum
- وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ
- and your God
- wāḥidun
- وَٰحِدٌ
- (is) One
- wanaḥnu
- وَنَحْنُ
- and we
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- to Him
- mus'limūna
- مُسْلِمُونَ
- submit"
And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him." (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 46)Tafsir
وَكَذٰلِكَ اَنْزَلْنَآ اِلَيْكَ الْكِتٰبَۗ فَالَّذِيْنَ اٰتَيْنٰهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِهٖۚ وَمِنْ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ مَنْ يُّؤْمِنُ بِهٖۗ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِاٰيٰتِنَآ اِلَّا الْكٰفِرُوْنَ ٤٧
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- anzalnā
- أَنزَلْنَآ
- We (have) revealed
- ilayka
- إِلَيْكَ
- to you
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَۚ
- the Book
- fa-alladhīna
- فَٱلَّذِينَ
- So those
- ātaynāhumu
- ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ
- We gave [them]
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
- bihi
- بِهِۦۖ
- therein
- wamin
- وَمِنْ
- And among
- hāulāi
- هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
- these
- man
- مَن
- (are some) who
- yu'minu
- يُؤْمِنُ
- believe
- bihi
- بِهِۦۚ
- therein
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And none
- yajḥadu
- يَجْحَدُ
- reject
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
- Our Verses
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-kāfirūna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ
- the disbelievers
And thus We have sent down to you the Book [i.e., the Quran]. And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture believe in it. And among these [people of Makkah] are those who believe in it. And none reject Our verses except the disbelievers. (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 47)Tafsir
وَمَا كُنْتَ تَتْلُوْا مِنْ قَبْلِهٖ مِنْ كِتٰبٍ وَّلَا تَخُطُّهٗ بِيَمِيْنِكَ اِذًا لَّارْتَابَ الْمُبْطِلُوْنَ ٤٨
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- (did) you
- tatlū
- تَتْلُوا۟
- recite
- min
- مِن
- before it
- qablihi
- قَبْلِهِۦ
- before it
- min
- مِن
- any
- kitābin
- كِتَٰبٍ
- Book
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- takhuṭṭuhu
- تَخُطُّهُۥ
- (did) you write it
- biyamīnika
- بِيَمِينِكَۖ
- with your right hand
- idhan
- إِذًا
- in that case
- la-ir'tāba
- لَّٱرْتَابَ
- surely (would) have doubted
- l-mub'ṭilūna
- ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ
- the falsifiers
And you did not recite before it any scripture, nor did you inscribe one with your right hand. Then [i.e., otherwise] the falsifiers would have had [cause for] doubt. (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 48)Tafsir
بَلْ هُوَ اٰيٰتٌۢ بَيِّنٰتٌ فِيْ صُدُوْرِ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْعِلْمَۗ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِاٰيٰتِنَآ اِلَّا الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ٤٩

- Nay
- huwa
- هُوَ
- it
- āyātun
- ءَايَٰتٌۢ
- (is) Verses
- bayyinātun
- بَيِّنَٰتٌ
- clear
- fī
- فِى
- in
- ṣudūri
- صُدُورِ
- (the) breasts
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (of) those who
- ūtū
- أُوتُوا۟
- are given
- l-ʿil'ma
- ٱلْعِلْمَۚ
- the knowledge
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- yajḥadu
- يَجْحَدُ
- reject
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
- Our Verses
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-ẓālimūna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
- the wrongdoers
Rather, it [i.e., the Quran] is distinct verses [preserved] within the breasts of those who have been given knowledge. And none reject Our verses except the wrongdoers. (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 49)Tafsir
وَقَالُوْا لَوْلَآ اُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ اٰيٰتٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّهٖ ۗ قُلْ اِنَّمَا الْاٰيٰتُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ۗوَاِنَّمَآ اَنَا۠ نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ٥٠
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say
- lawlā
- لَوْلَآ
- "Why not
- unzila
- أُنزِلَ
- are sent down
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- to him
- āyātun
- ءَايَٰتٌ
- (the) Signs
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbihi
- رَّبِّهِۦۖ
- his Lord?"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- "Only
- l-āyātu
- ٱلْءَايَٰتُ
- the Signs
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- (are) with
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- wa-innamā
- وَإِنَّمَآ
- and only
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- I (am)
- nadhīrun
- نَذِيرٌ
- a warner
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- clear"
But they say, "Why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "The signs are only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner." (QS. [29] Al-'Ankabut: 50)Tafsir
