Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Qasas Verse 17
Al-Qasas [28]: 17 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ فَلَنْ اَكُوْنَ ظَهِيْرًا لِّلْمُجْرِمِيْنَ (القصص : ٢٨)

- (of) the criminals"
Transliteration:
Qaala Rabbi bimaaa an'amta 'alaiya falan akoona zaheeral lilmujrimeen(QS. al-Q̈aṣaṣ:17)
English / Sahih Translation:
He said, "My Lord, for the favor You bestowed upon me, I will never be an assistant to the criminals." (QS. Al-Qasas, ayah 17)

He (Mūsā) said, “O my Lord! As You have favored me, I will never be a supporter of the sinners.”

And he went into the city at a time of carelessness on the part of its people, so he found therein two men fighting -- one being of his party and the other of his foes; and he who was of his party cried out to him for help against him who was of his enemies, so Moses struck him with his fist and killed him. He said: This is on account of the devil’s doing; surely he is an enemy, openly leading astray.

Tafsir jalalayn
He said, `My Lord, forasmuch as You have been gracious to me, with forgiveness, protect me [so], I will never be a partisan, a supporter, of the criminals', the disbelievers henceforth, if you were to protect me.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ
He said;"My Lord! For that with which You have favored me,
meaning, `what You have given me of prestige, power and blessings -- '
فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرًا لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
I will nevermore be a helper of the criminals!
`those who disbelieve in You and go against Your commands.
