وَاَنْ اَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۗفَلَمَّا رَاٰهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَاَنَّهَا جَاۤنٌّ وَّلّٰى مُدْبِرًا وَّلَمْ يُعَقِّبْۗ يٰمُوْسٰٓى اَقْبِلْ وَلَا تَخَفْۗ اِنَّكَ مِنَ الْاٰمِنِيْنَ ٣١
- wa-an
- وَأَنْ
- And [that]
- alqi
- أَلْقِ
- throw
- ʿaṣāka
- عَصَاكَۖ
- your staff"
- falammā
- فَلَمَّا
- But when
- raāhā
- رَءَاهَا
- he saw it
- tahtazzu
- تَهْتَزُّ
- moving
- ka-annahā
- كَأَنَّهَا
- as if it
- jānnun
- جَآنٌّ
- (were) a snake
- wallā
- وَلَّىٰ
- he turned
- mud'biran
- مُدْبِرًا
- (in) flight
- walam
- وَلَمْ
- and (did) not
- yuʿaqqib
- يُعَقِّبْۚ
- return
- yāmūsā
- يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ
- "O Musa!
- aqbil
- أَقْبِلْ
- Draw near
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- takhaf
- تَخَفْۖ
- fear
- innaka
- إِنَّكَ
- Indeed you
- mina
- مِنَ
- (are) of
- l-āminīna
- ٱلْءَامِنِينَ
- the secure
And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, approach and fear not. Indeed, you are of the secure. (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 31)Tafsir
اُسْلُكْ يَدَكَ فِيْ جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَاۤءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوْۤءٍ ۖوَّاضْمُمْ اِلَيْكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ الرَّهْبِ فَذٰنِكَ بُرْهَانٰنِ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۟ىِٕهٖۗ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا قَوْمًا فٰسِقِيْنَ ٣٢
- us'luk
- ٱسْلُكْ
- Insert
- yadaka
- يَدَكَ
- your hand
- fī
- فِى
- in
- jaybika
- جَيْبِكَ
- your bosom
- takhruj
- تَخْرُجْ
- it will come forth
- bayḍāa
- بَيْضَآءَ
- white
- min
- مِنْ
- without
- ghayri
- غَيْرِ
- without
- sūin
- سُوٓءٍ
- any harm
- wa-uḍ'mum
- وَٱضْمُمْ
- And draw
- ilayka
- إِلَيْكَ
- to yourselves
- janāḥaka
- جَنَاحَكَ
- your hand
- mina
- مِنَ
- against
- l-rahbi
- ٱلرَّهْبِۖ
- fear
- fadhānika
- فَذَٰنِكَ
- So these
- bur'hānāni
- بُرْهَٰنَانِ
- (are) two evidences
- min
- مِن
- from
- rabbika
- رَّبِّكَ
- your Lord
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- wamala-ihi
- وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦٓۚ
- and his chiefs
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- Indeed, they
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- are
- qawman
- قَوْمًا
- a people
- fāsiqīna
- فَٰسِقِينَ
- defiantly disobedient"
Insert your hand into the opening of your garment; it will come out white, without disease. And draw in your arm close to you [as prevention] from fear, for those are two proofs from your Lord to Pharaoh and his establishment. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient." (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 32)Tafsir
قَالَ رَبِّ اِنِّيْ قَتَلْتُ مِنْهُمْ نَفْسًا فَاَخَافُ اَنْ يَّقْتُلُوْنِ ٣٣
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- "My Lord!
- innī
- إِنِّى
- Indeed
- qataltu
- قَتَلْتُ
- I killed
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْ
- of them
- nafsan
- نَفْسًا
- a man
- fa-akhāfu
- فَأَخَافُ
- and I fear
- an
- أَن
- that
- yaqtulūni
- يَقْتُلُونِ
- they will kill me
He said, "My Lord, indeed I killed from among them someone, and I fear they will kill me. (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 33)Tafsir
وَاَخِيْ هٰرُوْنُ هُوَ اَفْصَحُ مِنِّيْ لِسَانًا فَاَرْسِلْهُ مَعِيَ رِدْءًا يُّصَدِّقُنِيْٓ ۖاِنِّيْٓ اَخَافُ اَنْ يُّكَذِّبُوْنِ ٣٤
- wa-akhī
- وَأَخِى
- And my brother
- hārūnu
- هَٰرُونُ
- Harun
- huwa
- هُوَ
- he
- afṣaḥu
- أَفْصَحُ
- (is) more eloquent
- minnī
- مِنِّى
- than me
- lisānan
- لِسَانًا
- (in) speech
- fa-arsil'hu
- فَأَرْسِلْهُ
- so send him
- maʿiya
- مَعِىَ
- with me
- rid'an
- رِدْءًا
- (as) a helper
- yuṣaddiqunī
- يُصَدِّقُنِىٓۖ
- who will confirm me
- innī
- إِنِّىٓ
- Indeed
- akhāfu
- أَخَافُ
- I fear
- an
- أَن
- that
- yukadhibūni
- يُكَذِّبُونِ
- they will deny me"
And my brother Aaron is more fluent than me in tongue, so send him with me as support, verifying me. Indeed, I fear that they will deny me." (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 34)Tafsir
قَالَ سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِاَخِيْكَ وَنَجْعَلُ لَكُمَا سُلْطٰنًا فَلَا يَصِلُوْنَ اِلَيْكُمَا ۛبِاٰيٰتِنَا ۛ اَنْتُمَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكُمَا الْغٰلِبُوْنَ ٣٥
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- sanashuddu
- سَنَشُدُّ
- "We will strengthen
- ʿaḍudaka
- عَضُدَكَ
- your arm
- bi-akhīka
- بِأَخِيكَ
- through your brother
- wanajʿalu
- وَنَجْعَلُ
- and We will make
- lakumā
- لَكُمَا
- for both of you
- sul'ṭānan
- سُلْطَٰنًا
- an authority
- falā
- فَلَا
- so not
- yaṣilūna
- يَصِلُونَ
- they will reach
- ilaykumā
- إِلَيْكُمَاۚ
- to both of you
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
- Through Our Signs
- antumā
- أَنتُمَا
- you two
- wamani
- وَمَنِ
- and (those) who
- ittabaʿakumā
- ٱتَّبَعَكُمَا
- follow you
- l-ghālibūna
- ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ
- (will) be the dominant"
[Allah] said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother and grant you both supremacy so they will not reach you. [It will be] through Our signs; you and those who follow you will be the predominant." (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 35)Tafsir
فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْ مُّوْسٰى بِاٰيٰتِنَا بَيِّنٰتٍ قَالُوْا مَا هٰذَآ اِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّفْتَرًىۙ وَّمَا سَمِعْنَا بِهٰذَا فِيْٓ اٰبَاۤىِٕنَا الْاَوَّلِيْنَ ٣٦
- falammā
- فَلَمَّا
- But when
- jāahum
- جَآءَهُم
- came to them
- mūsā
- مُّوسَىٰ
- Musa
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- with Our Signs
- bayyinātin
- بَيِّنَٰتٍ
- clear
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they said
- mā
- مَا
- "Not
- hādhā
- هَٰذَآ
- (is) this
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- siḥ'run
- سِحْرٌ
- a magic
- muf'taran
- مُّفْتَرًى
- invented
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- samiʿ'nā
- سَمِعْنَا
- we heard
- bihādhā
- بِهَٰذَا
- of this
- fī
- فِىٓ
- among
- ābāinā
- ءَابَآئِنَا
- our forefathers"
- l-awalīna
- ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
- our forefathers"
But when Moses came to them with Our signs as clear evidences, they said, "This is not except invented magic, and we have not heard of this [religion] among our forefathers." (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 36)Tafsir
وَقَالَ مُوْسٰى رَبِّيْٓ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ جَاۤءَ بِالْهُدٰى مِنْ عِنْدِهٖ وَمَنْ تَكُوْنُ لَهٗ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِۗ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ٣٧
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And Musa said
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- And Musa said
- rabbī
- رَبِّىٓ
- "My Lord
- aʿlamu
- أَعْلَمُ
- knows best
- biman
- بِمَن
- of who
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- has come
- bil-hudā
- بِٱلْهُدَىٰ
- with [the] guidance
- min
- مِنْ
- from Him
- ʿindihi
- عِندِهِۦ
- from Him
- waman
- وَمَن
- and who
- takūnu
- تَكُونُ
- will be
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- the good end in the Hereafter
- l-dāri
- ٱلدَّارِۖ
- the good end in the Hereafter
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yuf'liḥu
- يُفْلِحُ
- will be successful
- l-ẓālimūna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
- the wrongdoers"
And Moses said, "My Lord is more knowing [than we or you] of who has come with guidance from Him and to whom will be succession in the home. Indeed, wrongdoers do not succeed." (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 37)Tafsir
وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْمَلَاُ مَا عَلِمْتُ لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرِيْۚ فَاَوْقِدْ لِيْ يٰهَامٰنُ عَلَى الطِّيْنِ فَاجْعَلْ لِّيْ صَرْحًا لَّعَلِّيْٓ اَطَّلِعُ اِلٰٓى اِلٰهِ مُوْسٰىۙ وَاِنِّيْ لَاَظُنُّهٗ مِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ ٣٨
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And Firaun said
- fir'ʿawnu
- فِرْعَوْنُ
- And Firaun said
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- "O chiefs!
- l-mala-u
- ٱلْمَلَأُ
- "O chiefs!
- mā
- مَا
- Not
- ʿalim'tu
- عَلِمْتُ
- I know
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- min
- مِّنْ
- any
- ilāhin
- إِلَٰهٍ
- god
- ghayrī
- غَيْرِى
- other than me
- fa-awqid
- فَأَوْقِدْ
- So kindle
- lī
- لِى
- for me
- yāhāmānu
- يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ
- O Haman!
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- Upon
- l-ṭīni
- ٱلطِّينِ
- the clay
- fa-ij'ʿal
- فَٱجْعَل
- and make
- lī
- لِّى
- for me
- ṣarḥan
- صَرْحًا
- a lofty tower
- laʿallī
- لَّعَلِّىٓ
- so that [I]
- aṭṭaliʿu
- أَطَّلِعُ
- I may look
- ilā
- إِلَىٰٓ
- at
- ilāhi
- إِلَٰهِ
- (the) God
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- (of) Musa
- wa-innī
- وَإِنِّى
- And indeed, I
- la-aẓunnuhu
- لَأَظُنُّهُۥ
- [I] think that he
- mina
- مِنَ
- (is) of
- l-kādhibīna
- ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
- the liars"
And Pharaoh said, "O eminent ones, I have not known you to have a god other than me. Then ignite for me, O Haman, [a fire] upon the clay and make for me a tower that I may look at the God of Moses. And indeed, I do think he is among the liars." (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 38)Tafsir
وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُوْدُهٗ فِى الْاَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوْٓا اَنَّهُمْ اِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُوْنَ ٣٩
- wa-is'takbara
- وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ
- And he was arrogant
- huwa
- هُوَ
- And he was arrogant
- wajunūduhu
- وَجُنُودُهُۥ
- and his hosts
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the land
- bighayri
- بِغَيْرِ
- without
- l-ḥaqi
- ٱلْحَقِّ
- right
- waẓannū
- وَظَنُّوٓا۟
- and they thought
- annahum
- أَنَّهُمْ
- that they
- ilaynā
- إِلَيْنَا
- to Us
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yur'jaʿūna
- يُرْجَعُونَ
- will be returned
And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us. (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 39)Tafsir
فَاَخَذْنٰهُ وَجُنُوْدَهٗ فَنَبَذْنٰهُمْ فِى الْيَمِّ ۚفَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٤٠
- fa-akhadhnāhu
- فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ
- So We seized him
- wajunūdahu
- وَجُنُودَهُۥ
- and his hosts
- fanabadhnāhum
- فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ
- and We threw them
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-yami
- ٱلْيَمِّۖ
- the sea
- fa-unẓur
- فَٱنظُرْ
- So see
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (the) end
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- (of) the wrongdoers
So We took him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea. So see how was the end of the wrongdoers. (QS. [28] Al-Qasas: 40)Tafsir
