Al-Qur'an Surah An-Naml Verse 73
An-Naml [27]: 73 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُوْ فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُوْنَ (النمل : ٢٧)
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- rabbaka
- رَبَّكَ
- your Lord
- ladhū
- لَذُو
- (is) full of Bounty
- faḍlin
- فَضْلٍ
- (is) full of Bounty
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- for
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- the mankind
- walākinna
- وَلَٰكِنَّ
- but
- aktharahum
- أَكْثَرَهُمْ
- most of them
- lā
- لَا
- (are) not
- yashkurūna
- يَشْكُرُونَ
- grateful
Transliteration:
Wa innna Rabbaka lazoo fadlin 'alan naasi wa laakina aksarahum laa yashkuroon(QS. an-Naml:73)
English / Sahih Translation:
And indeed, your Lord is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of them are not grateful." (QS. An-Naml, ayah 73)

And surely your Lord is bountiful to mankind, an example of which is His deferring chastisement for the disbelievers, but most of them are not thankful -- disbelievers are not grateful for the deferring of chastisement since they reject [the fact] that it will ever come to pass.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ
Verily, your Lord is full of grace for mankind,
meaning, He abundantly bestows His blessings on them even though they wrong themselves, yet despite that they do not give thanks for those blessings, except for a few of them.
...
وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ
yet most of them do not give thanks.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُون
