Al-Qur'an Surah An-Naml Verse 6

An-Naml [27]: 6 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَاِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى الْقُرْاٰنَ مِنْ لَّدُنْ حَكِيْمٍ عَلِيْمٍ (النمل : ٢٧)

wa-innaka
وَإِنَّكَ
And indeed, you
latulaqqā
لَتُلَقَّى
surely, receive
l-qur'āna
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
the Quran
min
مِن
from [near]
ladun
لَّدُنْ
from [near]
ḥakīmin
حَكِيمٍ
the All-Wise
ʿalīmin
عَلِيمٍ
the All-Knower

Transliteration:

Wa innaka latulaqqal Qur-aana mil ladun Hakeemin 'Aleem (QS. an-Naml:6)

English / Sahih Translation:

And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Quran from one Wise and Knowing. (QS. An-Naml, ayah 6)

And that you are made to receive/meet/find (E) the Koran from at (a) wise/judicious, knowledgeable.

Tafsir jalalayn

And truly you -- this is an address to the Prophet (s) -- are receiving the Qur'n, it is being transmitted to you intensely, from One Wise, Knowing, in such [transmission].

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

And verily, you are being taught the Qur'an from One, All-Wise, All-Knowing.

وَإِنَّكَ
(And verily, you), O Muhammad. Qatadah said;

لَتُلَقَّى
(are being taught) "Are receiving."

الْقُرْانَ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ


the Qur'an from One, All-Wise, All-Knowing.

from One Who is Wise in His commands and prohibitions, and Who knows all things, major and minor. Whatever He says is absolute Truth, and His rulings are entirely fair and just, as Allah says;

وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقاً وَعَدْلاً

And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. (6;115
