Al-Qur'an Surah An-Naml Verse 5
An-Naml [27]: 5 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ لَهُمْ سُوْۤءُ الْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِى الْاٰخِرَةِ هُمُ الْاَخْسَرُوْنَ (النمل : ٢٧)
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (are) the ones
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- sūu
- سُوٓءُ
- (is) an evil
- l-ʿadhābi
- ٱلْعَذَابِ
- [the] punishment
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- and they
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- the Hereafter
- humu
- هُمُ
- [they]
- l-akhsarūna
- ٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ
- (will be) the greatest losers
Transliteration:
Ulaaa'ikal lazeena lahum sooo'ul 'azaabi wa hum fil Aakhirati humul akhsaroon(QS. an-Naml:5)
English / Sahih Translation:
Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. (QS. An-Naml, ayah 5)

Tafsir jalalayn
Those are they for whom there is an awful chastisement, the worst [chastisement] in this world; being killed or being taken captive; and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers, because they will end up in the Fire which has been made everlasting for them.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
أُوْلَيِكَ الَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ
They are those for whom there will be an evil torment.
in this world and the Hereafter.
وَهُمْ فِي الاْخِرَةِ هُمُ الاَْخْسَرُونَ
And in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers.
means, no one but they, among all the people who will be gathered, will lose their souls and their wealth.
وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى الْقُرْانَ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ
