فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ مَكْرِهِمْ اَنَّا دَمَّرْنٰهُمْ وَقَوْمَهُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ ٥١
- fa-unẓur
- فَٱنظُرْ
- Then see
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (the) end
- makrihim
- مَكْرِهِمْ
- (of) their plot
- annā
- أَنَّا
- that We
- dammarnāhum
- دَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ
- destroyed them
- waqawmahum
- وَقَوْمَهُمْ
- and their people
- ajmaʿīna
- أَجْمَعِينَ
- all
Then look how was the outcome of their plan – that We destroyed them and their people, all. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 51)Tafsir
فَتِلْكَ بُيُوْتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةً ۢبِمَا ظَلَمُوْاۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَّعْلَمُوْنَ ٥٢
- fatil'ka
- فَتِلْكَ
- So these
- buyūtuhum
- بُيُوتُهُمْ
- (are) their houses
- khāwiyatan
- خَاوِيَةًۢ
- ruined
- bimā
- بِمَا
- because
- ẓalamū
- ظَلَمُوٓا۟ۗ
- they wronged
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laāyatan
- لَءَايَةً
- surely is a sign
- liqawmin
- لِّقَوْمٍ
- for a people
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- who know
So those are their houses, desolate because of the wrong they had done. Indeed in that is a sign for people who know. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 52)Tafsir
وَاَنْجَيْنَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَكَانُوْا يَتَّقُوْنَ ٥٣
- wa-anjaynā
- وَأَنجَيْنَا
- And We saved
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believed
- wakānū
- وَكَانُوا۟
- and used (to)
- yattaqūna
- يَتَّقُونَ
- fear (Allah)
And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 53)Tafsir
وَلُوْطًا اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهٖٓ اَتَأْتُوْنَ الْفَاحِشَةَ وَاَنْتُمْ تُبْصِرُوْنَ ٥٤
- walūṭan
- وَلُوطًا
- And Lut
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- qāla
- قَالَ
- he said
- liqawmihi
- لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ
- to his people
- atatūna
- أَتَأْتُونَ
- "Do you commit
- l-fāḥishata
- ٱلْفَٰحِشَةَ
- [the] immorality
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- while you
- tub'ṣirūna
- تُبْصِرُونَ
- see?
And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Do you commit immorality while you are seeing? (QS. [27] An-Naml: 54)Tafsir
اَىِٕنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُوْنَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِّنْ دُوْنِ النِّسَاۤءِ ۗبَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُوْنَ ٥٥
- a-innakum
- أَئِنَّكُمْ
- Why do you
- latatūna
- لَتَأْتُونَ
- approach
- l-rijāla
- ٱلرِّجَالَ
- the men
- shahwatan
- شَهْوَةً
- (with) lust
- min
- مِّن
- instead of
- dūni
- دُونِ
- instead of
- l-nisāi
- ٱلنِّسَآءِۚ
- the women?
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- antum
- أَنتُمْ
- you
- qawmun
- قَوْمٌ
- (are) a people
- tajhalūna
- تَجْهَلُونَ
- ignorant"
Do you indeed approach men with desire instead of women? Rather, you are a people behaving ignorantly." (QS. [27] An-Naml: 55)Tafsir
۞ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوْٓا اَخْرِجُوْٓا اٰلَ لُوْطٍ مِّنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْۙ اِنَّهُمْ اُنَاسٌ يَّتَطَهَّرُوْنَ ٥٦
- famā
- فَمَا
- But not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- jawāba
- جَوَابَ
- (the) answer
- qawmihi
- قَوْمِهِۦٓ
- (of) his people
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- an
- أَن
- that
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- they said
- akhrijū
- أَخْرِجُوٓا۟
- "Drive out
- āla
- ءَالَ
- (the) family
- lūṭin
- لُوطٍ
- (of) Lut
- min
- مِّن
- from
- qaryatikum
- قَرْيَتِكُمْۖ
- your town
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- Indeed they
- unāsun
- أُنَاسٌ
- (are) people
- yataṭahharūna
- يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
- who keep clean and pure
But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure." (QS. [27] An-Naml: 56)Tafsir
فَاَنْجَيْنٰهُ وَاَهْلَهٗٓ اِلَّا امْرَاَتَهٗ قَدَّرْنٰهَا مِنَ الْغٰبِرِيْنَ ٥٧
- fa-anjaynāhu
- فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ
- So We saved him
- wa-ahlahu
- وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ
- and his family
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- im'ra-atahu
- ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ
- his wife;
- qaddarnāhā
- قَدَّرْنَٰهَا
- We destined her
- mina
- مِنَ
- (to be) of
- l-ghābirīna
- ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ
- those who remained behind
So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 57)Tafsir
وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّطَرًاۚ فَسَاۤءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِيْنَ ࣖ ٥٨
- wa-amṭarnā
- وَأَمْطَرْنَا
- And We rained
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِم
- upon them
- maṭaran
- مَّطَرًاۖ
- a rain
- fasāa
- فَسَآءَ
- and was evil
- maṭaru
- مَطَرُ
- (the) rain
- l-mundharīna
- ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
- (on) those who were warned
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 58)Tafsir
قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ وَسَلٰمٌ عَلٰى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِيْنَ اصْطَفٰىۗ ءٰۤاللّٰهُ خَيْرٌ اَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ ۔ ٥٩
- quli
- قُلِ
- Say
- l-ḥamdu
- ٱلْحَمْدُ
- "All praise (be)
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- to Allah
- wasalāmun
- وَسَلَٰمٌ
- and peace (be)
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- upon
- ʿibādihi
- عِبَادِهِ
- His slaves
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those whom
- iṣ'ṭafā
- ٱصْطَفَىٰٓۗ
- He has chosen
- āllahu
- ءَآللَّهُ
- Is Allah
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- better
- ammā
- أَمَّا
- or what
- yush'rikūna
- يُشْرِكُونَ
- they associate (with Him)?"
Say, [O Muhammad], "Praise be to Allah, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate with Him?" (QS. [27] An-Naml: 59)Tafsir
اَمَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَاَنْزَلَ لَكُمْ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءً فَاَنْۢبَتْنَا بِهٖ حَدَاۤىِٕقَ ذَاتَ بَهْجَةٍۚ مَا كَانَ لَكُمْ اَنْ تُنْۢبِتُوْا شَجَرَهَاۗ ءَاِلٰهٌ مَّعَ اللّٰهِ ۗبَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ يَّعْدِلُوْنَ ۗ ٦٠
- amman
- أَمَّنْ
- Or Who
- khalaqa
- خَلَقَ
- has created
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- and the earth
- wa-anzala
- وَأَنزَلَ
- and sent down
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- māan
- مَآءً
- water?
- fa-anbatnā
- فَأَنۢبَتْنَا
- And We caused to grow
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- thereby
- ḥadāiqa
- حَدَآئِقَ
- gardens
- dhāta
- ذَاتَ
- of beauty (and delight)
- bahjatin
- بَهْجَةٍ
- of beauty (and delight)
- mā
- مَّا
- not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- it is
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- for you
- an
- أَن
- that
- tunbitū
- تُنۢبِتُوا۟
- you cause to grow
- shajarahā
- شَجَرَهَآۗ
- their trees
- a-ilāhun
- أَءِلَٰهٌ
- Is there any god
- maʿa
- مَّعَ
- with
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- Allah?
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- qawmun
- قَوْمٌ
- (are) a people
- yaʿdilūna
- يَعْدِلُونَ
- who ascribe equals
[More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allah? [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him]. (QS. [27] An-Naml: 60)Tafsir
