English / Sahih Translation:
And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray. (QS. Ash-Shu'ara, ayah 86)
and forgive my father. Indeed he was one of those who went astray,
Forgive my father, for he is certainly one of the misguided.
and forgive my father, for he is one of those who have gone astray;
and forgive my father, for he is one of those astray.
forgive my father, for he is one of those who have gone astray-
And forgive my father; verily he is of the erring.
"Forgive my father, for that he is among those astray;
and forgive my father for he is among those who strayed,
Forgive me and my father: He was surely among those who went astray.
“And forgive my father* – he is indeed astray.” (His paternal uncle)
Forgive my father, for he is one of those who are astray.
"And forgive my father, for he is among those who have gone astray.
`And protect my sire (- âzar against his faults), he is of course of the erring ones.
And forgive to my father, that he truly was from the misguided.
“And forgive my father * – he is indeed astray.” (His paternal uncle)
"And place me among the heirs of the Garden of Delight,
And forgive my father, verily he is of the erring;
And ordain for me a goodly mention in later generations,
And forgive my father, for surely he is of those who have gone astray;
And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err.
Forgive my father. He has gone astray.
and forgive my father, for he was among the astray.
And forgive my father, verily, he is of the erring.
and forgive my father; for he is one of the misguided;
And forgive my father—he was one of the misguided.
And forgive my father, for indeed he is one of those who are astray, by Your relenting to him and forgiving him; this was before it became clear to him [Abraham] that he [his father] was an enemy of God, as mentioned in srat Bar'a [Q. 9;114].
And forgive my father,
This is like the Ayah,
My Lord! Forgive me, and my parents. (71;28)
verily, he is of the erring.
But this is something which Ibrahim, peace be upon him, later stopped doing, as Allah says;
And Ibrahim's invoking (of Allah) for his father's forgiveness was only because of a promise he ﴿Ibrahim﴾ had made to him (his father). But when it became clear to him ﴿Ibrahim﴾ that he (his father) is an enemy of Allah, he dissociated himself from him. Verily, Ibrahim was Awwah and forbearing. (9;114)
Allah stopped Ibrahim from asking for forgiveness for his father, as He says;
Indeed there has been an excellent example for you in Ibrahim and those with him, when they said to their people;
"Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah, we have rejected you, and there has started between us and you, hostility and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone," -- except the saying of Ibrahim to his father;"Verily, I will ask forgiveness for you, but I have no power to do anything for you before Allah." (60;4)
