Al-Qur'an Surah Ash-Shu'ara Verse 51
Ash-Shu'ara [26]: 51 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اِنَّا نَطْمَعُ اَنْ يَّغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطٰيٰنَآ اَنْ كُنَّآ اَوَّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ۗ ࣖ (الشعراء : ٢٦)

- يَغْفِرَ
- will forgive

- لَنَا

Transliteration:
Innaa natma'u ai yaghfira lanaa Rabbunna khataa yaanaaa an kunnaaa awwalal mu'mineen(QS. aš-Šuʿarāʾ:51)
English / Sahih Translation:
Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers." (QS. Ash-Shu'ara, ayah 51)

as we are the first of the believers,
means, because we are the first of our people, the Egyptians, to believe.
