Al-Qur'an Surah Ash-Shu'ara Verse 42
Ash-Shu'ara [26]: 42 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قَالَ نَعَمْ وَاِنَّكُمْ اِذًا لَّمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ (الشعراء : ٢٦)

- نَعَمْ
- "Yes
- wa-innakum
- وَإِنَّكُمْ
- and indeed you

- إِذًا

- lamina
- لَّمِنَ
- surely (will be) of
- l-muqarabīna
- ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
- the ones who are brought near"
Transliteration:
Qaala na'am wa innakum izal laminal muqarrabeen(QS. aš-Šuʿarāʾ:42)
English / Sahih Translation:
He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]." (QS. Ash-Shu'ara, ayah 42)
Mufti Taqi Usmani
He said, “Yes, and of course, you will then be among the closer ones.”

He replied, “Yes, and you will then certainly be among those closest to me.”

Tafsir jalalayn
He said, `Yes [of course]! And you shall then be among those closest [to me]'.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
He (Fir`awn) said;"Yes, and you shall then verily be of those brought near."
meaning, `and you will be given more than what you are asking for; I will make you among those who are close to me, those who sit with me.'
So they went back to their places;
قَالُواْ يمُوسَى إِمَّأ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّأ أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَى قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُواْ
They said;"O Musa! Either you throw first or we be the first to throw!"
(Musa) said;"Nay, throw you (first)!" (20;65-66)
