وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ

And he (Musa) drew out his hand,

meaning, from his sleeve,

فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاء لِلنَّاظِرِينَ



and behold, it was white to all beholders!

It was shining like a piece of the moon
