Al-Qur'an Surah Ash-Shu'ara Verse 139
Ash-Shu'ara [26]: 139 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَهْلَكْنٰهُمْۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً ۗوَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ (الشعراء : ٢٦)
- fakadhabūhu
- فَكَذَّبُوهُ
- So they denied him
- fa-ahlaknāhum
- فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْۗ
- then We destroyed them
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laāyatan
- لَءَايَةًۖ
- surely is a sign
- wamā
- وَمَا
- but not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- are
- aktharuhum
- أَكْثَرُهُم
- most of them
- mu'minīna
- مُّؤْمِنِينَ
- believers
Transliteration:
Fakazzaboohu fa ahlaknaahum; inna fee zaalika la aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen(QS. aš-Šuʿarāʾ:139)
English / Sahih Translation:
And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. (QS. Ash-Shu'ara, ayah 139)
