فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوْا لِفِرْعَوْنَ اَىِٕنَّ لَنَا لَاَجْرًا اِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغٰلِبِيْنَ ٤١
- falammā
- فَلَمَّا
- So when
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- came
- l-saḥaratu
- ٱلسَّحَرَةُ
- the magicians
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they said
- lifir'ʿawna
- لِفِرْعَوْنَ
- to Firaun
- a-inna
- أَئِنَّ
- "Is there
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for us
- la-ajran
- لَأَجْرًا
- a reward
- in
- إِن
- if
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we are
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- we are
- l-ghālibīna
- ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ
- the victorious?"
And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?" (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 41)Tafsir
قَالَ نَعَمْ وَاِنَّكُمْ اِذًا لَّمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ ٤٢
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- naʿam
- نَعَمْ
- "Yes
- wa-innakum
- وَإِنَّكُمْ
- and indeed you
- idhan
- إِذًا
- then
- lamina
- لَّمِنَ
- surely (will be) of
- l-muqarabīna
- ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
- the ones who are brought near"
He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]." (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 42)Tafsir
قَالَ لَهُمْ مُّوْسٰٓى اَلْقُوْا مَآ اَنْتُمْ مُّلْقُوْنَ ٤٣
- qāla
- قَالَ
- Said
- lahum
- لَهُم
- to them
- mūsā
- مُّوسَىٰٓ
- Musa
- alqū
- أَلْقُوا۟
- "Throw
- mā
- مَآ
- what
- antum
- أَنتُم
- you
- mul'qūna
- مُّلْقُونَ
- (are) going to throw"
Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw." (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 43)Tafsir
فَاَلْقَوْا حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوْا بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْغٰلِبُوْنَ ٤٤
- fa-alqaw
- فَأَلْقَوْا۟
- So they threw
- ḥibālahum
- حِبَالَهُمْ
- their ropes
- waʿiṣiyyahum
- وَعِصِيَّهُمْ
- and their staffs
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- and said
- biʿizzati
- بِعِزَّةِ
- "By the might
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- (of) Firaun
- innā
- إِنَّا
- indeed we
- lanaḥnu
- لَنَحْنُ
- surely we
- l-ghālibūna
- ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ
- (are) the victorious"
So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant." (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 44)Tafsir
فَاَلْقٰى مُوْسٰى عَصَاهُ فَاِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُوْنَ ۚ ٤٥
- fa-alqā
- فَأَلْقَىٰ
- Then threw
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- Musa
- ʿaṣāhu
- عَصَاهُ
- his staff
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- and behold!
- hiya
- هِىَ
- It
- talqafu
- تَلْقَفُ
- swallowed
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yafikūna
- يَأْفِكُونَ
- they falsified
Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 45)Tafsir
فَاُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سٰجِدِيْنَ ۙ ٤٦
- fa-ul'qiya
- فَأُلْقِىَ
- Then fell down
- l-saḥaratu
- ٱلسَّحَرَةُ
- the magicians
- sājidīna
- سَٰجِدِينَ
- prostrate
So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah]. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 46)Tafsir
قَالُوْٓا اٰمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ۙ ٤٧
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- They said
- āmannā
- ءَامَنَّا
- "We believe
- birabbi
- بِرَبِّ
- in (the) Lord
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds
They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds, (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 47)Tafsir
رَبِّ مُوْسٰى وَهٰرُوْنَ ٤٨
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- Lord
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- (of) Musa
- wahārūna
- وَهَٰرُونَ
- and Harun"
The Lord of Moses and Aaron." (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 48)Tafsir
قَالَ اٰمَنْتُمْ لَهٗ قَبْلَ اَنْ اٰذَنَ لَكُمْۚ اِنَّهٗ لَكَبِيْرُكُمُ الَّذِيْ عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَۚ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ەۗ لَاُقَطِّعَنَّ اَيْدِيَكُمْ وَاَرْجُلَكُمْ مِّنْ خِلَافٍ وَّلَاُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَۚ ٤٩

- قَالَ
- He said
- āmantum
- ءَامَنتُمْ
- "You believed
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- in him
- qabla
- قَبْلَ
- before
- an
- أَنْ
- [that]
- ādhana
- ءَاذَنَ
- I gave permission
- lakum
- لَكُمْۖ
- to you
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed he
- lakabīrukumu
- لَكَبِيرُكُمُ
- (is) surely your chief
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- who
- ʿallamakumu
- عَلَّمَكُمُ
- has taught you
- l-siḥ'ra
- ٱلسِّحْرَ
- the magic
- falasawfa
- فَلَسَوْفَ
- so surely soon
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَۚ
- you will know
- la-uqaṭṭiʿanna
- لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ
- I will surely cut off
- aydiyakum
- أَيْدِيَكُمْ
- your hands
- wa-arjulakum
- وَأَرْجُلَكُم
- and your feet
- min
- مِّنْ
- of
- khilāfin
- خِلَٰفٍ
- opposite sides
- wala-uṣallibannakum
- وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ
- and I will surely crucify you
- ajmaʿīna
- أَجْمَعِينَ
- all"
[Pharaoh] said, "You believed him [i.e., Moses] before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all." (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 49)Tafsir
قَالُوْا لَا ضَيْرَ ۖاِنَّآ اِلٰى رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُوْنَ ۚ ٥٠
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They said
- lā
- لَا
- "No
- ḍayra
- ضَيْرَۖ
- harm
- innā
- إِنَّآ
- Indeed we
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- rabbinā
- رَبِّنَا
- our Lord
- munqalibūna
- مُنقَلِبُونَ
- (will) return
They said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 50)Tafsir
