Surah Ash-Shu'ara - Page: 21

لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِهٖ حَتّٰى يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْاَلِيْمَ ٢٠١

They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 201)

فَيَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَّهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ۙ ٢٠٢

And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 202)

فَيَقُوْلُوْا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنْظَرُوْنَ ۗ ٢٠٣

And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 203)

اَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ ٢٠٤

So for Our punishment are they impatient? (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 204)

اَفَرَءَيْتَ اِنْ مَّتَّعْنٰهُمْ سِنِيْنَ ۙ ٢٠٥

Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 205)

ثُمَّ جَاۤءَهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يُوْعَدُوْنَ ۙ ٢٠٦

And then there came to them that which they were promised? (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 206)

مَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يُمَتَّعُوْنَ ۗ ٢٠٧

They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 207)

وَمَآ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ اِلَّا لَهَا مُنْذِرُوْنَ ۖ ٢٠٨

And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 208)

ذِكْرٰىۚ وَمَا كُنَّا ظٰلِمِيْنَ ٢٠٩

As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 209)

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّيٰطِيْنُ ٢١٠

And the devils have not brought it [i.e., the revelation] down. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 210)
