۞ اَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِيْنَ ۚ ١٨١

- ٱلْكَيْلَ
- measure
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- takūnū
- تَكُونُوا۟
- be
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-mukh'sirīna
- ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ
- those who cause loss
Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 181)Tafsir

وَزِنُوْا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيْمِ ۚ ١٨٢
- wazinū
- وَزِنُوا۟
- And weigh
- bil-qis'ṭāsi
- بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ
- with a balance
- l-mus'taqīmi
- ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ
- [the] even
And weigh with an even [i.e., honest] balance. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 182)Tafsir
183
وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ اَشْيَاۤءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ مُفْسِدِيْنَ ۚ ١٨٣
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- tabkhasū
- تَبْخَسُوا۟
- deprive
- l-nāsa
- ٱلنَّاسَ
- people
- ashyāahum
- أَشْيَآءَهُمْ
- (of) their things
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- taʿthaw
- تَعْثَوْا۟
- commit evil
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- muf'sidīna
- مُفْسِدِينَ
- spreading corruption
And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 183)Tafsir
184
وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ ۗ ١٨٤
- wa-ittaqū
- وَٱتَّقُوا۟
- And fear
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the One Who
- khalaqakum
- خَلَقَكُمْ
- created you
- wal-jibilata
- وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ
- and the generations
- l-awalīna
- ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
- the former"
And fear He who created you and the former creation." (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 184)Tafsir

قَالُوْٓا اِنَّمَآ اَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِيْنَ ۙ ١٨٥

- قَالُوٓا۟
- They said
- innamā
- إِنَّمَآ
- "Only
- anta
- أَنتَ
- you
- mina
- مِنَ
- (are) of
- l-musaḥarīna
- ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
- those bewitched
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 185)Tafsir

وَمَآ اَنْتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَاِنْ نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ ۚ ١٨٦
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- anta
- أَنتَ
- you
- illā
- إِلَّا
- (are) except
- basharun
- بَشَرٌ
- a man
- mith'lunā
- مِّثْلُنَا
- like us
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- and indeed
- naẓunnuka
- نَّظُنُّكَ
- we think you
- lamina
- لَمِنَ
- surely (are) of
- l-kādhibīna
- ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
- the liars
You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 186)Tafsir
187
فَاَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ ۗ ١٨٧
- fa-asqiṭ
- فَأَسْقِطْ
- Then cause to fall
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- upon us
- kisafan
- كِسَفًا
- fragments
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- in
- إِن
- if
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- you are
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-ṣādiqīna
- ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
- the truthful"
So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 187)Tafsir
188
قَالَ رَبِّيْٓ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٨٨
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- rabbī
- رَبِّىٓ
- "My Lord
- aʿlamu
- أَعْلَمُ
- knows best
- bimā
- بِمَا
- of what
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- you do"
He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 188)Tafsir
189
فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ ۗاِنَّهٗ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍ ١٨٩
- fakadhabūhu
- فَكَذَّبُوهُ
- But they denied him
- fa-akhadhahum
- فَأَخَذَهُمْ
- so seized them
- ʿadhābu
- عَذَابُ
- (the) punishment
- yawmi
- يَوْمِ
- (of the) day
- l-ẓulati
- ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ
- (of) the shadow
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed it
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ʿadhāba
- عَذَابَ
- (the) punishment
- yawmin
- يَوْمٍ
- (of) a Day
- ʿaẓīmin
- عَظِيمٍ
- Great
And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 189)Tafsir
190
اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً ۗوَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ ١٩٠
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed

- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laāyatan
- لَءَايَةًۖ
- surely is a sign
- wamā
- وَمَا
- but not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- are
- aktharuhum
- أَكْثَرُهُم
- most of them
- mu'minīna
- مُّؤْمِنِينَ
- believers
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 190)Tafsir
