اِلَّا عَجُوْزًا فِى الْغٰبِرِيْنَ ۚ ١٧١
- illā

- an old woman

- (was) among
- l-ghābirīna
- ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ
- those who remained behind
Except an old woman among those who remained behind. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 171)Tafsir

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْاٰخَرِيْنَ ۚ ١٧٢
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- dammarnā
- دَمَّرْنَا
- We destroyed
- l-ākharīna
- ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ
- the others
Then We destroyed the others. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 172)Tafsir
173
وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّطَرًاۚ فَسَاۤءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِيْنَ ١٧٣
- wa-amṭarnā
- وَأَمْطَرْنَا
- And We rained
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِم
- upon them
- maṭaran
- مَّطَرًاۖ
- a rain
- fasāa
- فَسَآءَ
- and evil was
- maṭaru
- مَطَرُ
- (was) the rain
- l-mundharīna
- ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
- (on) those who were warned
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 173)Tafsir
174
اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً ۗوَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ ١٧٤
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laāyatan
- لَءَايَةًۖ
- surely is a sign
- wamā
- وَمَا
- but not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- are
- aktharuhum
- أَكْثَرُهُم
- most of them
- mu'minīna
- مُّؤْمِنِينَ
- believers
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 174)Tafsir
175
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ ࣖ ١٧٥
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- rabbaka
- رَبَّكَ
- your Lord
- lahuwa
- لَهُوَ
- surely He
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- (is) the All-Mighty
- l-raḥīmu
- ٱلرَّحِيمُ
- the Most Merciful
And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 175)Tafsir

كَذَّبَ اَصْحٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ ۖ ١٧٦
- kadhaba
- كَذَّبَ
- Denied
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (the) companions
- al'aykati
- لْـَٔيْكَةِ
- (of the) Wood
- l-mur'salīna
- ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
- the Messengers
The companions of the thicket [i.e., the people of Madyan] denied the messengers . (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 176)Tafsir

اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ۚ ١٧٧

- إِذْ
- When
- qāla
- قَالَ
- said
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- to them
- shuʿaybun
- شُعَيْبٌ
- Shuaib
- alā
- أَلَا
- "Will not
- tattaqūna
- تَتَّقُونَ
- you fear (Allah)?
When Shuaib said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 177)Tafsir
178
اِنِّيْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌ ۙ ١٧٨
- innī
- إِنِّى
- Indeed I am
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- to you
- rasūlun
- رَسُولٌ
- a Messenger
- amīnun
- أَمِينٌ
- trustworthy
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 178)Tafsir

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ ۚ ١٧٩
- fa-ittaqū
- فَٱتَّقُوا۟
- So fear
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- wa-aṭīʿūni
- وَأَطِيعُونِ
- and obey me
So fear Allah and obey me. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 179)Tafsir
180
وَمَآ اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ۗ ١٨٠
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- asalukum
- أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ
- I ask (of) you
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- for it
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- ajrin
- أَجْرٍۖ
- payment
- in
- إِنْ
- Not
- ajriya
- أَجْرِىَ
- (is) my payment
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- from
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- (the) Lord
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 180)Tafsir
