كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ ۖ ١٤١

اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوْهُمْ صٰلِحٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ۚ ١٤٢

- لَهُمْ
- to them
- akhūhum
- أَخُوهُمْ
- their brother
- ṣāliḥun
- صَٰلِحٌ
- Salih
- alā
- أَلَا
- "Will not
- tattaqūna
- تَتَّقُونَ
- you fear (Allah)?
When their brother Saleh said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 142)Tafsir
143
اِنِّيْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌ ۙ ١٤٣
- innī
- إِنِّى
- Indeed I am
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- to you
- rasūlun
- رَسُولٌ
- a Messenger
- amīnun
- أَمِينٌ
- trustworthy
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 143)Tafsir

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ ۚ ١٤٤
- fa-ittaqū
- فَٱتَّقُوا۟
- So fear
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- wa-aṭīʿūni
- وَأَطِيعُونِ
- and obey me
So fear Allah and obey me. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 144)Tafsir
145
وَمَآ اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍۚ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ۗ ١٤٥
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- asalukum
- أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ
- I ask you
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- for it
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- ajrin
- أَجْرٍۖ
- payment
- in
- إِنْ
- Not
- ajriya
- أَجْرِىَ
- (is) my payment
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- from
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- (the) Lord
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 145)Tafsir

اَتُتْرَكُوْنَ فِيْ مَا هٰهُنَآ اٰمِنِيْنَ ۙ ١٤٦
- atut'rakūna
- أَتُتْرَكُونَ
- Will you be left
- fī
- فِى
- in
- mā
- مَا
- what
- hāhunā
- هَٰهُنَآ
- (is) here
- āminīna
- ءَامِنِينَ
- secure
Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death], (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 146)Tafsir
147
فِيْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوْنٍ ۙ ١٤٧
- fī
- فِى
- In
- jannātin
- جَنَّٰتٍ
- gardens
- waʿuyūnin
- وَعُيُونٍ
- and springs
Within gardens and springs. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 147)Tafsir
148
وَّزُرُوْعٍ وَّنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيْمٌ ۚ ١٤٨
- wazurūʿin
- وَزُرُوعٍ
- And cornfields
- wanakhlin
- وَنَخْلٍ
- and date-palms
- ṭalʿuhā
- طَلْعُهَا
- its spadix
- haḍīmun
- هَضِيمٌ
- soft?
And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit? (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 148)Tafsir
149
وَتَنْحِتُوْنَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوْتًا فٰرِهِيْنَ ١٤٩
- watanḥitūna
- وَتَنْحِتُونَ
- And you carve
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-jibāli
- ٱلْجِبَالِ
- the mountains
- buyūtan
- بُيُوتًا
- houses
- fārihīna
- فَٰرِهِينَ
- skillfully
And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 149)Tafsir
150
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ ۚ ١٥٠
- fa-ittaqū
- فَٱتَّقُوا۟
- So fear
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- wa-aṭīʿūni
- وَأَطِيعُونِ
- and obey me
So fear Allah and obey me. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 150)Tafsir
