اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً ۗوَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ ١٢١
- inna

- that
- laāyatan
- لَءَايَةًۖ
- surely (is) a sign
- wamā
- وَمَا
- but not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- are
- aktharuhum
- أَكْثَرُهُم
- most of them
- mu'minīna
- مُّؤْمِنِينَ
- believers
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 121)Tafsir
122
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ ࣖ ١٢٢
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- rabbaka
- رَبَّكَ
- your Lord
- lahuwa
- لَهُوَ
- surely He
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- (is) the All-Mighty
- l-raḥīmu
- ٱلرَّحِيمُ
- the Most Merciful
And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 122)Tafsir

كَذَّبَتْ عَادُ ِۨالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ ۖ ١٢٣
- kadhabat
- كَذَّبَتْ
- Denied
- ʿādun
- عَادٌ
- (the people) of Aad
- l-mur'salīna
- ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
- the Messengers
Aad denied the messengers. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 123)Tafsir

اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوْهُمْ هُوْدٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ۚ ١٢٤

- to them
- akhūhum
- أَخُوهُمْ
- their brother
- hūdun
- هُودٌ
- Hud
- alā
- أَلَا
- "Will not
- tattaqūna
- تَتَّقُونَ
- you fear (Allah)?
When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 124)Tafsir

اِنِّيْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌ ۙ ١٢٥
- innī
- إِنِّى
- Indeed I am
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- to you
- rasūlun
- رَسُولٌ
- a Messenger
- amīnun
- أَمِينٌ
- trustworthy
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 125)Tafsir

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ ۚ ١٢٦
- fa-ittaqū
- فَٱتَّقُوا۟
- So fear
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- wa-aṭīʿūni
- وَأَطِيعُونِ
- and obey me
So fear Allah and obey me. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 126)Tafsir
127
وَمَآ اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍۚ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ۗ ١٢٧
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- asalukum
- أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ
- I ask you
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- for it
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- ajrin
- أَجْرٍۖ
- payment
- in
- إِنْ
- Not
- ajriya
- أَجْرِىَ
- (is) my payment
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- from
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- (the) Lord
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 127)Tafsir

اَتَبْنُوْنَ بِكُلِّ رِيْعٍ اٰيَةً تَعْبَثُوْنَ ۙ ١٢٨
- atabnūna
- أَتَبْنُونَ
- Do you construct
- bikulli
- بِكُلِّ
- on every
- rīʿin
- رِيعٍ
- elevation
- āyatan
- ءَايَةً
- a sign
- taʿbathūna
- تَعْبَثُونَ
- amusing yourselves
Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves, (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 128)Tafsir

وَتَتَّخِذُوْنَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُوْنَۚ ١٢٩
- watattakhidhūna
- وَتَتَّخِذُونَ
- And take for yourselves
- maṣāniʿa
- مَصَانِعَ
- strongholds
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- that you may
- takhludūna
- تَخْلُدُونَ
- live forever?
And take for yourselves constructions [i.e., palaces and fortresses] that you might abide eternally? (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 129)Tafsir

وَاِذَا بَطَشْتُمْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِيْنَۚ ١٣٠
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- baṭashtum
- بَطَشْتُم
- you seize
- baṭashtum
- بَطَشْتُمْ
- you seize
- jabbārīna
- جَبَّارِينَ
- (as) tyrants
And when you strike, you strike as tyrants. (QS. [26] Ash-Shu'ara: 130)Tafsir
