Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Furqan Verse 75

Al-Furqan [25]: 75 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

اُولٰۤىِٕكَ يُجْزَوْنَ الْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوْا وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيْهَا تَحِيَّةً وَّسَلٰمًا ۙ (الفرقان : ٢٥)

ulāika
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
Those
yuj'zawna
يُجْزَوْنَ
will be awarded
l-ghur'fata
ٱلْغُرْفَةَ
the Chamber
bimā
بِمَا
because
ṣabarū
صَبَرُوا۟
they were patient
wayulaqqawna
وَيُلَقَّوْنَ
and they will be met
fīhā
فِيهَا
therein
taḥiyyatan
تَحِيَّةً
(with) greetings
wasalāman
وَسَلَٰمًا
and peace

Transliteration:

Ulaaa'ika yujzawnal ghurfata bimaa sabaroo wa yulaqqawna feehaa tahiyyatanw wa salaamaa (QS. al-Furq̈ān:75)

English / Sahih Translation:

Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace, (QS. Al-Furqan, ayah 75)

Such people will be rewarded with the high place - because they observed patience - and will be received therein with prayers of their eternal life and peace,

It is they who will be rewarded with ˹elevated˺ mansions ˹in Paradise˺ for their perseverance, and will be received with salutations and ˹greetings of˺ peace,

Such are the people who will be rewarded with high palaces for their fortitude,, wherein they will be welcomed with due respect, honour and salutations

They will be rewarded for their perseverance with lofty mansions in empyrean where they will be received with greetings of peace and salutations,

They will be rewarded the highest position in heaven, the recompense of their patience, and they will be welcomed with honour and greetings of peace.

Those shall be rewarded with sublime abodes for their patience and steadfastness, and they shall be met there with greetings and ‘Peace,’

Such (illustrious) ones will be rewarded with the loftiest mansion (in Paradise) for their steadfastness (in spite of adversities, for their obedience to God in spite of all persecutions), and they will be met therein with a greeting of welcome and peace.

It is such of those who will be rewarded the highest place (in Paradise) for their fortitude and they will be received therein with greeting and salutation of peace.

English Literal

Those, they are being rewarded/reimbursed the chamber/elevated stage because (of) what they were patient, and they will receive in it a greeting and a greeting/peace .

They will be rewarded the highest position in heaven, the recompense of their patience, and they will be welcomed with honour and greetings of peace.

And those who say, "Our Lord! Grant us comfort and cheer from our wives and offspring, and make us models for all those who ward off evil (or to lead the righteous)."

Those will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect.

And they who say, Our Lord, grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes, and make us leaders for those who guard against evil.

Those shall be recompensed with the highest rank for their patience. There they shall receive a greeting, and peace!

Those will be rewarded with the highest place because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect.

Wahiduddin Khan

These are the ones who will be rewarded with lofty mansions in Paradise, for their steadfastness. They will be received therein with greetings of welcome and salutations of peace.

Talal Itani

Those will be awarded the Chamber for their patience, and will be greeted therein with greetings and peace.

Tafsir jalalayn

Those, they will be rewarded with the sublime abode, the highest degree in Paradise, forasmuch as they were steadfast, in obedience to God, and they will be met (read yulaqqawna or yalqawna) therein, in this sublime abode, with a greeting and [words of] peace, from the angels;

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

The Reward of the Servants of the Most Gracious, and a Warning to the People of Makkah

After mentioning the beautiful attributes of His believing servants, and their fine words and deeds, Allah then says;

أُوْلَيِكَ



Those,

meaning, the people who are described in this manner,

يُجْزَوْنَ

will be rewarded,

on the Day of Resurrection,

الْغُرْفَةَ

with the highest place,

which is Paradise.

Abu Jafar Al-Baqir, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Ad-Dahhak and As-Suddi said,

"It was so called because of its elevation."

بِمَا صَبَرُوا

because of their patience.

means, their patience in doing what they did.

وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا

Therein they shall be met,

means, in Paradise.

تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَمًا



with greetings and the word of peace and respect.

This means that they will be greeted first with words of welcome and honor. Peace will be theirs and they will be wished peace. And angels shall enter unto them from every gate, saying,

"Peace be upon you for that you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!
