Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Furqan Verse 57
Al-Furqan [25]: 57 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قُلْ مَآ اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ اِلَّا مَنْ شَاۤءَ اَنْ يَّتَّخِذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ سَبِيْلًا (الفرقان : ٢٥)

Transliteration:
Qul maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin illaa man shaaa'a ai yattakhiza ilaa Rabbihee sabeelaa(QS. al-Furq̈ān:57)
English / Sahih Translation:
Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment – only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way." (QS. Al-Furqan, ayah 57)

Tafsir jalalayn
Say; `I do not ask of you in return for this, that is, for delivering that [Message] with which I have been sent, any reward, except that whoever wishes to follow a way to his Lord [should do so]', by expending his wealth for the sake of [attaining] God's pleasure, exalted be He; then [whoever wishes to do so] I will not prevent him from doing so.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ
Say;"No reward do I ask of you for this..."
`for conveying this message and this warning, I do not ask for any reward from your wealth; I am only doing this for the sake of Allah, may He be exalted.'
لِمَن شَأءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ
To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight. (81;28)
إِلاَّ مَن شَاء أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ سَبِيلً
save that whosoever wills, may take a path to his Lord.
means, a way and a methodology to be followed.
