Al-Furqan [25]: 10 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِيْٓ اِنْ شَاۤءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًا مِّنْ ذٰلِكَ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُۙ وَيَجْعَلْ لَّكَ قُصُوْرًا (الفرقان : ٢٥)

Transliteration:

Tabaarakal lazeee in shaaa'a ja'ala laka khairam min zaalika jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru wa yaj'al laka qusooraa (QS. al-Furq̈ān:10)

English / Sahih Translation:

Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that – gardens beneath which rivers flow – and could make for you palaces. (QS. Al-Furqan, ayah 10)

Glorious is the One who, if He so wills, would give you better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow, and would give you palaces.

Blessed is He Who is pleased to assign to you (at the time of the Final victory of the Muslims) better than that (garden they devise for you) gardens (of Mesopotamia) served with running streams (rivers like Euphrates, Tigris and Jihûn and Sihûn), and will also assign to you palaces (of the Persian and Byzantine Emperors, and also the treasures of Chosroes and Caesars would be placed at your feet).

English Literal

Blessed (is) who, if He willed/wanted He made/created for you better than that, treed gardens/paradises, the rivers/waterways run/flow from below/beneath it, and He makes/puts for you castles/palaces .

Tafsir jalalayn

Blessed is He, abundant is the good of God, Who, if He will, will give you better than that, treasure or orchard which they mentioned -- gardens underneath which rivers flow, in this world, for He has already willed to give him such things in the Hereafter, and will give (read apocopated form wa-yaj`al) you palaces, as well (a variant reading [of the apocopated yaj`al] is yaj`alu, `He will give', beginning a new sentence).

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي إِن شَاء جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًا مِّن ذَلِكَ

Blessed be He Who, if He wills, will assign you better than (all) that...

"This means in this world."

جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الاَْنْهَارُ وَيَجْعَل لَّكَ قُصُورًا



-- Gardens under which rivers flow and will assign you palaces.

Mujahid said,

"The Quraysh used to call every house that was made of stone a `palace', whether it was large or small.
