وَكَذٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَۗ وَكَفٰى بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَّنَصِيْرًا ٣١
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- jaʿalnā
- جَعَلْنَا
- We have made
- likulli
- لِكُلِّ
- for every
- nabiyyin
- نَبِىٍّ
- Prophet
- ʿaduwwan
- عَدُوًّا
- an enemy
- mina
- مِّنَ
- among
- l-muj'rimīna
- ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَۗ
- the criminals
- wakafā
- وَكَفَىٰ
- But sufficient is
- birabbika
- بِرَبِّكَ
- your Lord
- hādiyan
- هَادِيًا
- (as) a Guide
- wanaṣīran
- وَنَصِيرًا
- and a Helper
And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 31)Tafsir
وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْاٰنُ جُمْلَةً وَّاحِدَةً ۛ كَذٰلِكَ ۛ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهٖ فُؤَادَكَ وَرَتَّلْنٰهُ تَرْتِيْلًا ٣٢
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And said
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- lawlā
- لَوْلَا
- "Why not
- nuzzila
- نُزِّلَ
- was revealed
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- to him
- l-qur'ānu
- ٱلْقُرْءَانُ
- the Quran
- jum'latan
- جُمْلَةً
- all at once?"
- wāḥidatan
- وَٰحِدَةًۚ
- all at once?"
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- linuthabbita
- لِنُثَبِّتَ
- that We may strengthen
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- thereby
- fuādaka
- فُؤَادَكَۖ
- your heart
- warattalnāhu
- وَرَتَّلْنَٰهُ
- and We have recited it
- tartīlan
- تَرْتِيلًا
- (with distinct) recitation
And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Quran not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 32)Tafsir
وَلَا يَأْتُوْنَكَ بِمَثَلٍ اِلَّا جِئْنٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَاَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيْرًا ۗ ٣٣
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- yatūnaka
- يَأْتُونَكَ
- they come to you
- bimathalin
- بِمَثَلٍ
- with an example
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- ji'nāka
- جِئْنَٰكَ
- We bring you
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّ
- the truth
- wa-aḥsana
- وَأَحْسَنَ
- and (the) best
- tafsīran
- تَفْسِيرًا
- explanation
And they do not come to you with an example [i.e., argument] except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 33)Tafsir
اَلَّذِيْنَ يُحْشَرُوْنَ عَلٰى وُجُوْهِهِمْ اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَۙ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَّاَضَلُّ سَبِيْلًا ࣖ ٣٤
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- yuḥ'sharūna
- يُحْشَرُونَ
- will be gathered
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- wujūhihim
- وُجُوهِهِمْ
- their faces
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- jahannama
- جَهَنَّمَ
- Hell
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- those
- sharrun
- شَرٌّ
- (are the) worst
- makānan
- مَّكَانًا
- (in) position
- wa-aḍallu
- وَأَضَلُّ
- and most astray
- sabīlan
- سَبِيلًا
- (from the) way
The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell – those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 34)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهٗٓ اَخَاهُ هٰرُوْنَ وَزِيْرًا ۚ ٣٥
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And verily
- ātaynā
- ءَاتَيْنَا
- We gave
- mūsā
- مُوسَى
- Musa
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Scripture
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- and We appointed
- maʿahu
- مَعَهُۥٓ
- with him
- akhāhu
- أَخَاهُ
- his brother
- hārūna
- هَٰرُونَ
- Harun
- wazīran
- وَزِيرًا
- (as) an assistant
And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 35)Tafsir
فَقُلْنَا اذْهَبَآ اِلَى الْقَوْمِ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَاۗ فَدَمَّرْنٰهُمْ تَدْمِيْرًا ۗ ٣٦
- faqul'nā
- فَقُلْنَا
- Then We said
- idh'habā
- ٱذْهَبَآ
- "Go both of you
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-qawmi
- ٱلْقَوْمِ
- the people
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- have denied
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- Our Signs"
- fadammarnāhum
- فَدَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ
- Then We destroyed them
- tadmīran
- تَدْمِيرًا
- (with) destruction
And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 36)Tafsir
وَقَوْمَ نُوْحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ اَغْرَقْنٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ اٰيَةًۗ وَاَعْتَدْنَا لِلظّٰلِمِيْنَ عَذَابًا اَلِيْمًا ۚ ٣٧
- waqawma
- وَقَوْمَ
- And (the) people
- nūḥin
- نُوحٍ
- (of) Nuh
- lammā
- لَّمَّا
- when
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- they denied
- l-rusula
- ٱلرُّسُلَ
- the Messengers
- aghraqnāhum
- أَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ
- We drowned them
- wajaʿalnāhum
- وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ
- and We made them
- lilnnāsi
- لِلنَّاسِ
- for mankind
- āyatan
- ءَايَةًۖ
- a sign
- wa-aʿtadnā
- وَأَعْتَدْنَا
- And We have prepared
- lilẓẓālimīna
- لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- for the wrongdoers
- ʿadhāban
- عَذَابًا
- a punishment
- alīman
- أَلِيمًا
- painful
And the people of Noah – when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 37)Tafsir
وَعَادًا وَّثَمُوْدَا۟ وَاَصْحٰبَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُوْنًاۢ بَيْنَ ذٰلِكَ كَثِيْرًا ٣٨
- waʿādan
- وَعَادًا
- And Ad
- wathamūdā
- وَثَمُودَا۟
- and Thamud
- wa-aṣḥāba
- وَأَصْحَٰبَ
- and (the) dwellers
- l-rasi
- ٱلرَّسِّ
- (of) Ar-rass
- waqurūnan
- وَقُرُونًۢا
- and generations
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- between
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًا
- many
And [We destroyed] Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 38)Tafsir
وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ الْاَمْثَالَۖ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيْرًا ٣٩
- wakullan
- وَكُلًّا
- And each
- ḍarabnā
- ضَرَبْنَا
- We have set forth
- lahu
- لَهُ
- for him
- l-amthāla
- ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَۖ
- the examples
- wakullan
- وَكُلًّا
- and each
- tabbarnā
- تَبَّرْنَا
- We destroyed
- tatbīran
- تَتْبِيرًا
- (with) destruction
And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 39)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ اَتَوْا عَلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِيْٓ اُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِۗ اَفَلَمْ يَكُوْنُوْا يَرَوْنَهَاۚ بَلْ كَانُوْا لَا يَرْجُوْنَ نُشُوْرًا ٤٠
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And verily
- ataw
- أَتَوْا۟
- they have come
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- upon
- l-qaryati
- ٱلْقَرْيَةِ
- the town
- allatī
- ٱلَّتِىٓ
- which
- um'ṭirat
- أُمْطِرَتْ
- was showered
- maṭara
- مَطَرَ
- (with) a rain
- l-sawi
- ٱلسَّوْءِۚ
- (of) evil
- afalam
- أَفَلَمْ
- Then do not
- yakūnū
- يَكُونُوا۟
- they [were]
- yarawnahā
- يَرَوْنَهَاۚ
- see it?
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they are
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yarjūna
- يَرْجُونَ
- expecting
- nushūran
- نُشُورًا
- Resurrection
And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil [i.e., stones]. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 40)Tafsir
