بَلْ كَذَّبُوْا بِالسَّاعَةِۙ وَاَعْتَدْنَا لِمَنْ كَذَّبَ بِالسَّاعَةِ سَعِيْرًا ١١
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- they deny
- bil-sāʿati
- بِٱلسَّاعَةِۖ
- the Hour
- wa-aʿtadnā
- وَأَعْتَدْنَا
- and We have prepared
- liman
- لِمَن
- for (those) who
- kadhaba
- كَذَّبَ
- deny
- bil-sāʿati
- بِٱلسَّاعَةِ
- the Hour
- saʿīran
- سَعِيرًا
- a Blazing Fire
But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 11)Tafsir
اِذَا رَاَتْهُمْ مِّنْ مَّكَانٍۢ بَعِيْدٍ سَمِعُوْا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَّزَفِيْرًا ١٢
- idhā
- إِذَا
- When
- ra-athum
- رَأَتْهُم
- it sees them
- min
- مِّن
- from
- makānin
- مَّكَانٍۭ
- a place
- baʿīdin
- بَعِيدٍ
- far
- samiʿū
- سَمِعُوا۟
- they will hear
- lahā
- لَهَا
- its
- taghayyuẓan
- تَغَيُّظًا
- raging
- wazafīran
- وَزَفِيرًا
- and roaring
When it [i.e., the Hellfire] sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 12)Tafsir
وَاِذَآ اُلْقُوْا مِنْهَا مَكَانًا ضَيِّقًا مُّقَرَّنِيْنَ دَعَوْا هُنَالِكَ ثُبُوْرًا ۗ ١٣
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَآ
- And when
- ul'qū
- أُلْقُوا۟
- they are thrown
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- thereof
- makānan
- مَكَانًا
- (in) a place
- ḍayyiqan
- ضَيِّقًا
- narrow
- muqarranīna
- مُّقَرَّنِينَ
- bound in chains
- daʿaw
- دَعَوْا۟
- they will call
- hunālika
- هُنَالِكَ
- there
- thubūran
- ثُبُورًا
- (for) destruction
And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 13)Tafsir
لَا تَدْعُوا الْيَوْمَ ثُبُوْرًا وَّاحِدًا وَّادْعُوْا ثُبُوْرًا كَثِيْرًا ١٤
- lā
- لَّا

- تَدْعُوا۟
- call
- l-yawma
- ٱلْيَوْمَ
- this day
- thubūran
- ثُبُورًا
- (for) destruction
- wāḥidan
- وَٰحِدًا
- one
- wa-id'ʿū
- وَٱدْعُوا۟
- but call
- thubūran
- ثُبُورًا
- (for) destructions
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًا
- many"
[They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction." (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 14)Tafsir
قُلْ اَذٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ اَمْ جَنَّةُ الْخُلْدِ الَّتِيْ وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُوْنَۗ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَزَاۤءً وَّمَصِيْرًا ١٥
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- adhālika
- أَذَٰلِكَ
- "Is that
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- better
- am
- أَمْ
- or
- jannatu
- جَنَّةُ
- Garden
- l-khul'di
- ٱلْخُلْدِ
- (of) Eternity
- allatī
- ٱلَّتِى
- which
- wuʿida
- وُعِدَ
- is promised
- l-mutaqūna
- ٱلْمُتَّقُونَۚ
- (to) the righteous?
- kānat
- كَانَتْ
- It will be
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- jazāan
- جَزَآءً
- a reward
- wamaṣīran
- وَمَصِيرًا
- and destination
Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 15)Tafsir
لَهُمْ فِيْهَا مَا يَشَاۤءُوْنَ خٰلِدِيْنَۗ كَانَ عَلٰى رَبِّكَ وَعْدًا مَّسْـُٔوْلًا ١٦
- lahum
- لَّهُمْ
- For them
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- mā
- مَا
- (is) whatever
- yashāūna
- يَشَآءُونَ
- they wish
- khālidīna
- خَٰلِدِينَۚ
- they will abide forever
- kāna
- كَانَ
- It is
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- rabbika
- رَبِّكَ
- your Lord
- waʿdan
- وَعْدًا
- a promise
- masūlan
- مَّسْـُٔولًا
- requested"
For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 16)Tafsir
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ فَيَقُوْلُ ءَاَنْتُمْ اَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِيْ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ اَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا السَّبِيْلَ ۗ ١٧
- wayawma
- وَيَوْمَ
- And (the) Day
- yaḥshuruhum
- يَحْشُرُهُمْ
- He will gather them
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- yaʿbudūna
- يَعْبُدُونَ
- they worship
- min
- مِن
- besides Allah
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides Allah
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- besides Allah
- fayaqūlu
- فَيَقُولُ
- and He will say
- a-antum
- ءَأَنتُمْ
- "Did you
- aḍlaltum
- أَضْلَلْتُمْ
- [you] mislead
- ʿibādī
- عِبَادِى
- My slaves
- hāulāi
- هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
- these
- am
- أَمْ
- or
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- ḍallū
- ضَلُّوا۟
- went astray
- l-sabīla
- ٱلسَّبِيلَ
- (from) the way?"
And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allah and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?" (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 17)Tafsir
قَالُوْا سُبْحٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنْۢبَغِيْ لَنَآ اَنْ نَّتَّخِذَ مِنْ دُوْنِكَ مِنْ اَوْلِيَاۤءَ وَلٰكِنْ مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَاٰبَاۤءَهُمْ حَتّٰى نَسُوا الذِّكْرَۚ وَكَانُوْا قَوْمًاۢ بُوْرًا ١٨
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They say
- sub'ḥānaka
- سُبْحَٰنَكَ
- "Glory be to You
- mā
- مَا
- Not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- it was proper
- yanbaghī
- يَنۢبَغِى
- it was proper
- lanā
- لَنَآ
- for us
- an
- أَن
- that
- nattakhidha
- نَّتَّخِذَ
- we take
- min
- مِن
- besides You
- dūnika
- دُونِكَ
- besides You
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- awliyāa
- أَوْلِيَآءَ
- protectors
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- But
- mattaʿtahum
- مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ
- You gave them comforts
- waābāahum
- وَءَابَآءَهُمْ
- and their forefathers
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- nasū
- نَسُوا۟
- they forgot
- l-dhik'ra
- ٱلذِّكْرَ
- the Message
- wakānū
- وَكَانُوا۟
- and became
- qawman
- قَوْمًۢا
- a people
- būran
- بُورًا
- ruined"
They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies [i.e., protectors]. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined." (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 18)Tafsir
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوْكُمْ بِمَا تَقُوْلُوْنَۙ فَمَا تَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ صَرْفًا وَّلَا نَصْرًاۚ وَمَنْ يَّظْلِمْ مِّنْكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيْرًا ١٩
- faqad
- فَقَدْ
- "So verily
- kadhabūkum
- كَذَّبُوكُم
- they deny you
- bimā
- بِمَا
- in what
- taqūlūna
- تَقُولُونَ
- you say
- famā
- فَمَا
- so not
- tastaṭīʿūna
- تَسْتَطِيعُونَ
- you are able
- ṣarfan
- صَرْفًا
- (to) avert
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- naṣran
- نَصْرًاۚ
- (to) help"
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yaẓlim
- يَظْلِم
- does wrong
- minkum
- مِّنكُمْ
- among you
- nudhiq'hu
- نُذِقْهُ
- We will make him taste
- ʿadhāban
- عَذَابًا
- a punishment
- kabīran
- كَبِيرًا
- great
So they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you – We will make him taste a great punishment. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 19)Tafsir
وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ اِلَّآ اِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُوْنَ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُوْنَ فِى الْاَسْوَاقِۗ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً ۗ اَتَصْبِرُوْنَۚ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيْرًا ࣖ ۔ ٢٠
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- We sent
- qablaka
- قَبْلَكَ
- before you
- mina
- مِنَ
- any
- l-mur'salīna
- ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
- Messengers
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- but
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- indeed they
- layakulūna
- لَيَأْكُلُونَ
- [surely] ate
- l-ṭaʿāma
- ٱلطَّعَامَ
- food
- wayamshūna
- وَيَمْشُونَ
- and walked
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-aswāqi
- ٱلْأَسْوَاقِۗ
- the markets
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- And We have made
- baʿḍakum
- بَعْضَكُمْ
- some of you
- libaʿḍin
- لِبَعْضٍ
- for others
- fit'natan
- فِتْنَةً
- a trial
- ataṣbirūna
- أَتَصْبِرُونَۗ
- will you have patience?
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- And is
- rabbuka
- رَبُّكَ
- your Lord
- baṣīran
- بَصِيرًا
- All-Seer
And We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others – will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing. (QS. [25] Al-Furqan: 20)Tafsir
