Al-Qur'an Surah An-Nur Verse 52

An-Nur [24]: 52 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَمَنْ يُّطِعِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ وَيَخْشَ اللّٰهَ وَيَتَّقْهِ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْفَاۤىِٕزُوْنَ (النور : ٢٤)

waman
وَمَن
And whoever
yuṭiʿi
يُطِعِ
obeys
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
warasūlahu
وَرَسُولَهُۥ
and His Messenger
wayakhsha
وَيَخْشَ
and fears
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
wayattaqhi
وَيَتَّقْهِ
and (is) conscious of Him
fa-ulāika
فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
then those
humu
هُمُ
[they]
l-fāizūna
ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ
(are) the successful ones

Transliteration:

Wa mai yuti'il laaha wa Rasoolahoo wa yakhshal laaha wa yattaqhi fa ulaaa'ika humul faaa'izoon (QS. an-Nūr:52)

English / Sahih Translation:

And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger and fears Allah and is conscious of Him – it is those who are the attainers. (QS. An-Nur, ayah 52)

Mufti Taqi Usmani

Whoever obeys Allah and His messenger and has awe of Him and observes Taqwā for His sake, then such people are the victorious.

For whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, and fears Allah and is mindful of Him, then it is they who will ˹truly˺ triumph.

And those who obey Allâh and His Messenger and hold Allâh in awe and take Him as a shield (for protection) it is they who shall be triumphant.

English Literal

And who obeys God and His messenger, and fears God, and fears and obeys Him, so those are the successful/triumphant .

And whoever obeys the command of Allah and His Noble Messenger, and fears Allah, and practices piety - so it is they who are the successful.

The speech of the believers, when they appeal unto Allah and His Messenger to judge between them, is only to say, "We hear and we obey;" and such are the successful.

Whoever obeys God and His Messenger, and fears God, and is conscious of Him—these are the winners.

Tafsir jalalayn

And he who obeys God and His Messenger, and fears God and fears Him (read yattaqh or yattaqhi), by being obedient to Him, those, they are the winners, of Paradise.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ

And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger,

in what he is commanded with, and avoid what he is forbidden,

وَيَخْشَ اللَّهَ

fears Allah,

means, for his past sins,

وَيَتَّقْهِ

and has Taqwa of Him,

regarding sins he may commit in the future.

فَأُوْلَيِكَ هُمُ الْفَايِزُونَ



such are the successful.

means, those who will attain all goodness and be saved from all evil in this world and the Hereafter
