Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mu'minun Verse 85

They will say, “Allah’s.” Say, “Would you still pay no heed?

Tafsir jalalayn

They will say, `To God'. Say, to them; `Will you not then remember?' (tadhakkarna, the second t' [of tatadhakkarna] has been assimilated with the dhl) will you [not then] be admonished and so realise that the One Who has the power to originate creation also has the power to resurrect after death?

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ

"If you know!"

They will say;"It is Allah's!"

means, they will admit that this belongs to Allah Alone with no partner or associate.

If that is the case,

قُلْ أَفَلَ تَذَكَّرُونَ



Say;"Will you not then remember!"

that none should be worshipped except the Creator and Provider.

قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
