Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mu'minun Verse 77

Al-Mu'minun [23]: 77 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

حَتّٰٓى اِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيْدٍ اِذَا هُمْ فِيْهِ مُبْلِسُوْنَ ࣖ (المؤمنون : ٢٣)

(will be in) despair

Transliteration:

Hattaaa izaa fatahnaa 'alaihim baaban zaa 'azaabin shadeedin izaa hum feehi mublisoon (QS. al-Muʾminūn:77)

English / Sahih Translation:

Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. (QS. Al-Mu'minun, ayah 77)

When the command of Allah reaches them and the Hour comes to them suddenly, and they are overtaken by the punishment of Allah which they were not expecting, then they will despair of any ease and goodness, and all their hopes will disappear.
