Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mu'minun Verse 7
Al-Mu'minun [23]: 7 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَمَنِ ابْتَغٰى وَرَاۤءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْعٰدُوْنَ ۚ (المؤمنون : ٢٣)
- famani
- فَمَنِ
- Then whoever
- ib'taghā
- ٱبْتَغَىٰ
- seeks
- warāa
- وَرَآءَ
- beyond
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- fa-ulāika
- فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- then those
- humu
- هُمُ
- [they]
- l-ʿādūna
- ٱلْعَادُونَ
- (are) the transgressors
Transliteration:
Famanib taghaa waraaa'a zaalika fa ulaaa'ika humul 'aadoon(QS. al-Muʾminūn:7)
English / Sahih Translation:
But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors . (QS. Al-Mu'minun, ayah 7)

However, those who seek (sexual pleasure) beyond that are the transgressors

Tafsir jalalayn
But whoever seeks [anything] beyond that, [intercourse with] wives and concubines, such as masturbation; those, they are transgressors, who have overstepped [the bounds] into what is not lawful for them.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
And those who guard their private parts. Except from their wives and their right hand possessions, for then, they are free from blame. But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors.
means, those who protect their private parts from unlawful actions and do not do that which Allah has forbidden; fornication and homosexuality, and do not approach anyone except the wives whom Allah has made permissible for them or their right hand possessions from the captives. One who seeks what Allah has made permissible for him is not to be blamed and there is no sin on him.
Allah says;
فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ
فَمَنِ ابْتَغَى وَرَاء ذَلِكَ
they are free from blame. But whoever seeks beyond that, meaning, other than a wife or slave girl,
فَأُوْلَيِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ
then those are the transgressors.
meaning, aggressors.
Allah says;
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لاِاَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ
