Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mu'minun Verse 66
Al-Mu'minun [23]: 66 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قَدْ كَانَتْ اٰيٰتِيْ تُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ عَلٰٓى اَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنْكِصُوْنَ ۙ (المؤمنون : ٢٣)

- My Verses

- تُتْلَىٰ

- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ

- عَلَىٰٓ
- (to) on
- aʿqābikum
- أَعْقَٰبِكُمْ
- your heels
- tankiṣūna
- تَنكِصُونَ
- turn back
Transliteration:
Qad kaanat Aayaatee tutlaa 'alaikum fakuntum 'alaaa a'qaabikum tankisoon(QS. al-Muʾminūn:66)
English / Sahih Translation:
My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels. (QS. Al-Mu'minun, ayah 66)

meaning, when you were called, you refused and resisted.
ذَلِكُم بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا دُعِىَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ كَـفَرْتُمْ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِ تُوْمِنُواْ فَالْحُكْمُ للَّهِ الْعَلِـىِّ الْكَبِيرِ
"This is because, when Allah Alone was invoked, you disbelieved, but when partners were joined to Him, you believed! So the judgment is only with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great!" (40;12)
مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ بِهِ سَامِرًا تَهْجُرُونَ
