Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mu'minun Verse 61

Al-Mu'minun [23]: 61 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

اُولٰۤىِٕكَ يُسَارِعُوْنَ فِى الْخَيْرٰتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سٰبِقُوْنَ (المؤمنون : ٢٣)

ulāika
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
(It is) those
yusāriʿūna
يُسَٰرِعُونَ
who hasten
فِى
in
l-khayrāti
ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ
the good (deeds)
wahum
وَهُمْ
and they
lahā
لَهَا
in them
sābiqūna
سَٰبِقُونَ
(are) foremost

Transliteration:

Ulaaa'ika yusaari'oona fil khairaati wa hum lahaa saabiqoon (QS. al-Muʾminūn:61)

English / Sahih Translation:

It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. (QS. Al-Mu'minun, ayah 61)

- those people are accelerating towards the (real) good things, and they are the foremost to attain them.

Tafsir jalalayn

those [are the ones who] hasten to [perform] good works, and they [are the ones who] shall come out ahead in them, according to God's knowledge.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

أُوْلَيِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ
It is these who hasten in the good deeds.
This is also how Ibn Abbas, Muhammad bin Ka`b Al-Qurazi and Al-Hasan Al-Basri interpreted this Ayah.

وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ



and they are foremost in them
