Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mu'minun Verse 47
Al-Mu'minun [23]: 47 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَقَالُوْٓا اَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عٰبِدُوْنَ ۚ (المؤمنون : ٢٣)
- faqālū
- فَقَالُوٓا۟
- Then they said
- anu'minu
- أَنُؤْمِنُ
- "Shall we believe
- libasharayni
- لِبَشَرَيْنِ
- (in) two men
- mith'linā
- مِثْلِنَا
- like ourselves
- waqawmuhumā
- وَقَوْمُهُمَا
- while their people
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for us
- ʿābidūna
- عَٰبِدُونَ
- (are) slaves"
Transliteration:
Faqaaloo annu'minu libasharaini mislinaa wa qawmuhumaa lanaa 'aabidoon(QS. al-Muʾminūn:47)
English / Sahih Translation:
They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" (QS. Al-Mu'minun, ayah 47)

So they said, “shall we believe in two humans who are like ourselves and whose people are serving us as slaves?”
