Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mu'minun Verse 111

Al-Mu'minun [23]: 111 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

اِنِّيْ جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوْٓاۙ اَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَاۤىِٕزُوْنَ (المؤمنون : ٢٣)

innī

Indeed I
jazaytuhumu
جَزَيْتُهُمُ
have rewarded them
l-yawma
ٱلْيَوْمَ
this Day
bimā
بِمَا
because
ṣabarū
صَبَرُوٓا۟
they were patient
annahum
أَنَّهُمْ
indeed they
humu
هُمُ
[they]
l-fāizūna
ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ
(are) the successful ones

Transliteration:

Inee jazaituhumul Yawma bimaa sabarooo annahum humul faaa'izoon (QS. al-Muʾminūn:111)

English / Sahih Translation:

Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance – that they are the attainers [of success]." (QS. Al-Mu'minun, ayah 111)

Tafsir jalalayn

Indeed I have rewarded them this day, abiding bliss, for the endurance they showed, while you mocked them and caused them hurt. They are indeed the winners', of what they sought (read innahum as [indicating] a new sentence, or annahum as [indicating] a second direct object of the [verb] jazaytuhum, `I have rewarded them').

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

إِنِّي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا

Verily, I have rewarded them this Day for their patience;

meaning, `for the harm and mockery that you inflicted on them,

أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَايِزُونَ



they are indeed the ones that are successful.

I have caused them to attain the victory of joy, safety, Paradise and salvation from the Fire.
