بَلْ قَالُوْا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ ٨١

- they say

- مِثْلَ
- (the) like
- mā
- مَا
- (of) what
- qāla
- قَالَ
- said
- l-awalūna
- ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
- the former (people)
Rather, they say like what the former peoples said. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 81)Tafsir
82
قَالُوْٓا ءَاِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا ءَاِنَّا لَمَبْعُوْثُوْنَ ٨٢
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- They said
- a-idhā
- أَءِذَا
- "What! When
- mit'nā
- مِتْنَا
- we are dead
- wakunnā
- وَكُنَّا
- and become
- turāban
- تُرَابًا
- dust
- waʿiẓāman
- وَعِظَٰمًا
- and bones
- a-innā
- أَءِنَّا
- would we
- lamabʿūthūna
- لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
- surely be resurrected?
They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 82)Tafsir
83
لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَاٰبَاۤؤُنَا هٰذَا مِنْ قَبْلُ اِنْ هٰذَآ اِلَّآ اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ ٨٣
- laqad
- لَقَدْ
- Verily
- wuʿid'nā
- وُعِدْنَا
- we have been promised
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- [we]
- waābāunā
- وَءَابَآؤُنَا
- and our forefathers
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- min
- مِن
- before
- qablu
- قَبْلُ
- before
- in
- إِنْ
- not
- hādhā
- هَٰذَآ
- (is) this
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- but
- asāṭīru
- أَسَٰطِيرُ
- (the) tales
- l-awalīna
- ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
- (of) the former (people)"
We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples." (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 83)Tafsir
84
قُلْ لِّمَنِ الْاَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيْهَآ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٨٤

- Say
- limani
- لِّمَنِ
- "To whom (belongs)
- l-arḍu
- ٱلْأَرْضُ
- the earth
- waman
- وَمَن
- and whoever
- fīhā
- فِيهَآ
- (is) in it
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- know?"
Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 84)Tafsir
85
سَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ ۗقُلْ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٨٥
- sayaqūlūna
- سَيَقُولُونَ
- They will say
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِۚ
- "To Allah"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- "Then will not
- tadhakkarūna
- تَذَكَّرُونَ
- you remember?"
They will say, "To Allah." Say, "Then will you not remember?" (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 85)Tafsir
86
قُلْ مَنْ رَّبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ ٨٦
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- man
- مَن
- "Who
- rabbu
- رَّبُّ
- (is the) Lord
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the seven heavens
- l-sabʿi
- ٱلسَّبْعِ
- (of) the seven heavens
- warabbu
- وَرَبُّ
- and (the) Lord
- l-ʿarshi
- ٱلْعَرْشِ
- (of) the Throne
- l-ʿaẓīmi
- ٱلْعَظِيمِ
- the Great?"
Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?" (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 86)Tafsir
87
سَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ ۗقُلْ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ ٨٧
- sayaqūlūna
- سَيَقُولُونَ
- They will say
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِۚ
- "Allah"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- "Then will not
- tattaqūna
- تَتَّقُونَ
- you fear (Him)?"
They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 87)Tafsir
88
قُلْ مَنْۢ بِيَدِهٖ مَلَكُوْتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّهُوَ يُجِيْرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٨٨

- Say
- man
- مَنۢ
- Who is (it)
- biyadihi
- بِيَدِهِۦ
- in Whose Hand(s)
- malakūtu
- مَلَكُوتُ
- (is the) dominion
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- (of) all
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- things
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and He
- yujīru
- يُجِيرُ
- protects
- walā
- وَلَا
- and no (one)
- yujāru
- يُجَارُ
- (can) be protected
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- against Him
- in
- إِن
- If
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- know?"
Say, "In whose hand is the realm of all things – and He protects while none can protect against Him – if you should know?" (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 88)Tafsir
89
سَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ ۗقُلْ فَاَنّٰى تُسْحَرُوْنَ ٨٩
- sayaqūlūna
- سَيَقُولُونَ
- They will say
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِۚ
- "Allah"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- fa-annā
- فَأَنَّىٰ
- "Then how
- tus'ḥarūna
- تُسْحَرُونَ
- are you deluded?"
They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah." Say, "Then how are you deluded?" (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 89)Tafsir
90
بَلْ اَتَيْنٰهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَاِنَّهُمْ لَكٰذِبُوْنَ ٩٠
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- ataynāhum
- أَتَيْنَٰهُم
- We (have) brought them
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّ
- the truth
- wa-innahum
- وَإِنَّهُمْ
- but indeed they
- lakādhibūna
- لَكَٰذِبُونَ
- surely (are) liars
Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 90)Tafsir
