فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنٰهُمْ غُثَاۤءًۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٤١
- fa-akhadhathumu
- فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ
- So seized them
- l-ṣayḥatu
- ٱلصَّيْحَةُ
- the awful cry
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّ
- in truth
- fajaʿalnāhum
- فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ
- and We made them
- ghuthāan
- غُثَآءًۚ
- (as) rubbish of dead leaves
- fabuʿ'dan
- فَبُعْدًا
- So away
- lil'qawmi
- لِّلْقَوْمِ
- with the people -
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
So the shriek seized them in truth, and We made them as [plant] stubble. Then away with the wrongdoing people. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 41)Tafsir
ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُوْنًا اٰخَرِيْنَ ۗ ٤٢
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- anshanā
- أَنشَأْنَا
- We produced
- min
- مِنۢ
- after them
- baʿdihim
- بَعْدِهِمْ
- after them
- qurūnan
- قُرُونًا
- a generation
- ākharīna
- ءَاخَرِينَ
- another
Then We produced after them other generations. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 42)Tafsir
مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُوْنَ ۗ ٤٣
- mā
- مَا
- Not
- tasbiqu
- تَسْبِقُ
- can precede
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- ummatin
- أُمَّةٍ
- nation
- ajalahā
- أَجَلَهَا
- its term
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- yastakhirūna
- يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ
- they (can) delay (it)
No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter]. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 43)Tafsir
ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَاۗ كُلَّمَا جَاۤءَ اُمَّةً رَّسُوْلُهَا كَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا وَّجَعَلْنٰهُمْ اَحَادِيْثَۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّقَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ٤٤
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- We sent
- rusulanā
- رُسُلَنَا
- Our Messengers
- tatrā
- تَتْرَاۖ
- (in) succession
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- Every time
- mā
- مَا
- Every time
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- came
- ummatan
- أُمَّةً
- (to) a nation
- rasūluhā
- رَّسُولُهَا
- its Messenger
- kadhabūhu
- كَذَّبُوهُۚ
- they denied him
- fa-atbaʿnā
- فَأَتْبَعْنَا
- so We made (them) follow
- baʿḍahum
- بَعْضَهُم
- some of them
- baʿḍan
- بَعْضًا
- others
- wajaʿalnāhum
- وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ
- and We made them
- aḥādītha
- أَحَادِيثَۚ
- narrations
- fabuʿ'dan
- فَبُعْدًا
- So away
- liqawmin
- لِّقَوْمٍ
- with a people
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- they believe
Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation its messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction], and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 44)Tafsir
ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا مُوْسٰى وَاَخَاهُ هٰرُوْنَ ەۙ بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍۙ ٤٥
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- We sent
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- Musa
- wa-akhāhu
- وَأَخَاهُ
- and his brother
- hārūna
- هَٰرُونَ
- Harun
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- with Our Signs
- wasul'ṭānin
- وَسُلْطَٰنٍ
- and an authority
- mubīnin
- مُّبِينٍ
- clear
Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 45)Tafsir
اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۟ىِٕهٖ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا وَكَانُوْا قَوْمًا عَالِيْنَ ۚ ٤٦
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- To
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- wamala-ihi
- وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ
- and his chiefs
- fa-is'takbarū
- فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
- but they behaved arrogantly
- wakānū
- وَكَانُوا۟
- and they were
- qawman
- قَوْمًا
- a people
- ʿālīna
- عَالِينَ
- haughty
To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 46)Tafsir
فَقَالُوْٓا اَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عٰبِدُوْنَ ۚ ٤٧
- faqālū
- فَقَالُوٓا۟
- Then they said
- anu'minu
- أَنُؤْمِنُ
- "Shall we believe
- libasharayni
- لِبَشَرَيْنِ
- (in) two men
- mith'linā
- مِثْلِنَا
- like ourselves
- waqawmuhumā
- وَقَوْمُهُمَا
- while their people
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for us
- ʿābidūna
- عَٰبِدُونَ
- (are) slaves"
They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 47)Tafsir
فَكَذَّبُوْهُمَا فَكَانُوْا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِيْنَ ٤٨
- fakadhabūhumā
- فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا
- So they denied them
- fakānū
- فَكَانُوا۟
- and they became
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-muh'lakīna
- ٱلْمُهْلَكِينَ
- those who were destroyed
So they denied them and were of those destroyed. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 48)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُوْنَ ٤٩
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And verily
- ātaynā
- ءَاتَيْنَا
- We gave
- mūsā
- مُوسَى
- Musa
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Scripture
- laʿallahum
- لَعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- yahtadūna
- يَهْتَدُونَ
- be guided
And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture that perhaps they would be guided. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 49)Tafsir
وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَاُمَّهٗٓ اٰيَةً وَّاٰوَيْنٰهُمَآ اِلٰى رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَّمَعِيْنٍ ࣖ ٥٠
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- And We made
- ib'na
- ٱبْنَ
- (the) son
- maryama
- مَرْيَمَ
- (of) Maryam
- wa-ummahu
- وَأُمَّهُۥٓ
- and his mother
- āyatan
- ءَايَةً
- a Sign
- waāwaynāhumā
- وَءَاوَيْنَٰهُمَآ
- and We sheltered them
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- rabwatin
- رَبْوَةٍ
- a high ground
- dhāti
- ذَاتِ
- of tranquility
- qarārin
- قَرَارٍ
- of tranquility
- wamaʿīnin
- وَمَعِينٍ
- and water springs
And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level [areas] and flowing water. (QS. [23] Al-Mu'minun: 50)Tafsir
