Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hajj Verse 77
Al-Hajj [22]: 77 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا ارْكَعُوْا وَاسْجُدُوْا وَاعْبُدُوْا رَبَّكُمْ وَافْعَلُوا الْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَ ۚ۩ (الحج : ٢٢)
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O you who believe!
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- O you who believe!
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- O you who believe!
- ir'kaʿū
- ٱرْكَعُوا۟
- Bow
- wa-us'judū
- وَٱسْجُدُوا۟
- and prostrate
- wa-uʿ'budū
- وَٱعْبُدُوا۟
- and worship
- rabbakum
- رَبَّكُمْ
- your Lord
- wa-if'ʿalū
- وَٱفْعَلُوا۟
- and do
- l-khayra
- ٱلْخَيْرَ
- [the] good
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- tuf'liḥūna
- تُفْلِحُونَ۩
- be successful
Transliteration:
Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanur ka'oo wasjudoo wa'budoo Rabbakum waf'alul khaira la'allakum tuflihoon(QS. al-Ḥajj:77)
English / Sahih Translation:
O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good – that you may succeed. (QS. Al-Hajj, ayah 77)

Tafseer Ibn Kathir
The Command to worship Allah and engage in Jihad
Allah said;
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ امَنُوا ارْكَعُوا وَاسْجُدُوا وَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ
وَافْعَلُوا الْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
O you who believe! Bow down, and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful.
It was reported from Uqbah bin Amir that the Prophet said;
فُضِّلَتْ سُورَةُ الْحَجِّ بِسَجْدَتَيْنِ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْجُدْهُمَا فَلَ يَقْرَأْهُمَا
Surah Al-Hajj has been blessed with two Sajdah, so whoever does not prostrate them should not read them
