Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hajj Verse 16
Al-Hajj [22]: 16 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَكَذٰلِكَ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ اٰيٰتٍۢ بَيِّنٰتٍۙ وَّاَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَهْدِيْ مَنْ يُّرِيْدُ (الحج : ٢٢)
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- anzalnāhu
- أَنزَلْنَٰهُ
- We sent it down
- āyātin
- ءَايَٰتٍۭ
- (as) clear Verses
- bayyinātin
- بَيِّنَٰتٍ
- (as) clear Verses
- wa-anna
- وَأَنَّ
- and that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- yahdī
- يَهْدِى
- guides
- man
- مَن
- whom
- yurīdu
- يُرِيدُ
- He intends
Transliteration:
Wa kazaalika anzalnaahu aayaatim baiyinaatinw wa annal laaha yahdee mai yureed(QS. al-Ḥajj:16)
English / Sahih Translation:
And thus have We sent it [i.e., the Quran] down as verses of clear evidence and because Allah guides whom He intends. (QS. Al-Hajj, ayah 16)

And this is how We have sent it (the Qur’ān) down as clear signs, and the fact is that Allah leads whom He wills to the right path.

Tafsir jalalayn
So, just as We revealed the previous verse, We revealed it, that is, the remainder of the Qur'n, as clear signs, manifest [signs] (bayyint, `clear signs', is a circumstantial qualifier) and indeed God guides whomever He desires, that he be guided (wa-anna'Llha yahd man yurdu, a supplement to the [suffixed pronoun] h', `it', of anzalnhu, `We revealed it').
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
وَكَذَلِكَ أَنزَلْنَاهُ
Thus have We sent it down, (the Qur'an),
ايَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ
as clear Ayat,
clear in its wording and its meaning, evidence from Allah to mankind.
وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَن يُرِيدُ
and surely, Allah guides whom He wills.
He sends astray whomsoever He wills and He guides whomsoever He wills, and He has complete wisdom and definitive proof in doing so.
لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْـَلُونَ
He cannot be questioned about what He does, while they will be questioned. (21;23)
Because of His wisdom, mercy, justice, knowledge, dominion and might, no one can overturn His ruling, and He is swift in bringing to account
