اَلَّذِيْنَ اِنْ مَّكَّنّٰهُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ اَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتَوُا الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَمَرُوْا بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَنَهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِۗ وَلِلّٰهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْاُمُوْرِ ٤١
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- in
- إِن
- if
- makkannāhum
- مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ
- We establish them
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the land
- aqāmū
- أَقَامُوا۟
- they establish
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- the prayer
- waātawū
- وَءَاتَوُا۟
- and they give
- l-zakata
- ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
- zakah
- wa-amarū
- وَأَمَرُوا۟
- and they enjoin
- bil-maʿrūfi
- بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ
- the right
- wanahaw
- وَنَهَوْا۟
- and forbid
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- from
- l-munkari
- ٱلْمُنكَرِۗ
- the wrong
- walillahi
- وَلِلَّهِ
- And for Allah
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (is the) end
- l-umūri
- ٱلْأُمُورِ
- (of) the matters
[And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give Zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 41)Tafsir
وَاِنْ يُّكَذِّبُوْكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوْحٍ وَّعَادٌ وَّثَمُوْدُ ۙ ٤٢
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And if
- yukadhibūka
- يُكَذِّبُوكَ
- they deny you
- faqad
- فَقَدْ
- so verily
- kadhabat
- كَذَّبَتْ
- denied
- qablahum
- قَبْلَهُمْ
- before them
- qawmu
- قَوْمُ
- (the) people
- nūḥin
- نُوحٍ
- (of) Nuh
- waʿādun
- وَعَادٌ
- and Aad
- wathamūdu
- وَثَمُودُ
- and Thamud
And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] – so, before them, did the people of Noah and Aad and Thamud deny [their prophets], (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 42)Tafsir
وَقَوْمُ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَقَوْمُ لُوْطٍ ۙ ٤٣
- waqawmu
- وَقَوْمُ
- And (the) people
- ib'rāhīma
- إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
- (of) Ibrahim
- waqawmu
- وَقَوْمُ
- and (the) people
- lūṭin
- لُوطٍ
- (of) Lut
And the people of Abraham and the people of Lot. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 43)Tafsir
وَّاَصْحٰبُ مَدْيَنَۚ وَكُذِّبَ مُوْسٰى فَاَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكٰفِرِيْنَ ثُمَّ اَخَذْتُهُمْۚ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيْرِ ٤٤
- wa-aṣḥābu
- وَأَصْحَٰبُ
- And the inhabitants
- madyana
- مَدْيَنَۖ
- (of) Madyan
- wakudhiba
- وَكُذِّبَ
- And Musa was denied
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- And Musa was denied
- fa-amlaytu
- فَأَمْلَيْتُ
- so I granted respite
- lil'kāfirīna
- لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- to the disbelievers
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- akhadhtuhum
- أَخَذْتُهُمْۖ
- I seized them
- fakayfa
- فَكَيْفَ
- and how
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- nakīri
- نَكِيرِ
- My punishment
And the inhabitants of Madyan. And Moses was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 44)Tafsir
فَكَاَيِّنْ مِّنْ قَرْيَةٍ اَهْلَكْنٰهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ فَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلٰى عُرُوْشِهَاۖ وَبِئْرٍ مُّعَطَّلَةٍ وَّقَصْرٍ مَّشِيْدٍ ٤٥
- faka-ayyin
- فَكَأَيِّن
- And how many
- min
- مِّن
- of
- qaryatin
- قَرْيَةٍ
- a township
- ahlaknāhā
- أَهْلَكْنَٰهَا
- We have destroyed it
- wahiya
- وَهِىَ
- while it
- ẓālimatun
- ظَالِمَةٌ
- was doing wrong
- fahiya
- فَهِىَ
- so it
- khāwiyatun
- خَاوِيَةٌ
- fell
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- ʿurūshihā
- عُرُوشِهَا
- its roofs
- wabi'rin
- وَبِئْرٍ
- and well
- muʿaṭṭalatin
- مُّعَطَّلَةٍ
- abandoned
- waqaṣrin
- وَقَصْرٍ
- and castle
- mashīdin
- مَّشِيدٍ
- lofty
And how many a city did We destroy while it was committing wrong – so it is [now] fallen into ruin – and [how many] an abandoned well and [how many] a lofty palace. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 45)Tafsir
اَفَلَمْ يَسِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَتَكُوْنَ لَهُمْ قُلُوْبٌ يَّعْقِلُوْنَ بِهَآ اَوْ اٰذَانٌ يَّسْمَعُوْنَ بِهَاۚ فَاِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى الْاَبْصَارُ وَلٰكِنْ تَعْمَى الْقُلُوْبُ الَّتِيْ فِى الصُّدُوْرِ ٤٦
- afalam
- أَفَلَمْ
- So have not
- yasīrū
- يَسِيرُوا۟
- they traveled
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the land
- fatakūna
- فَتَكُونَ
- and is
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- qulūbun
- قُلُوبٌ
- hearts
- yaʿqilūna
- يَعْقِلُونَ
- (to) reason
- bihā
- بِهَآ
- with it
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- ādhānun
- ءَاذَانٌ
- ears
- yasmaʿūna
- يَسْمَعُونَ
- (to) hear
- bihā
- بِهَاۖ
- with it?
- fa-innahā
- فَإِنَّهَا
- For indeed [it]
- lā
- لَا
- not
- taʿmā
- تَعْمَى
- (are) blinded
- l-abṣāru
- ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ
- the eyes
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- but
- taʿmā
- تَعْمَى
- (are) blinded
- l-qulūbu
- ٱلْقُلُوبُ
- the hearts
- allatī
- ٱلَّتِى
- which
- fī
- فِى
- (are) in
- l-ṣudūri
- ٱلصُّدُورِ
- the breasts
So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 46)Tafsir
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَنْ يُّخْلِفَ اللّٰهُ وَعْدَهٗۗ وَاِنَّ يَوْمًا عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ كَاَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّوْنَ ٤٧
- wayastaʿjilūnaka
- وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ
- And they ask you to hasten
- bil-ʿadhābi
- بِٱلْعَذَابِ
- the punishment
- walan
- وَلَن
- But never will
- yukh'lifa
- يُخْلِفَ
- fail
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- waʿdahu
- وَعْدَهُۥۚ
- (in) His Promise
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- yawman
- يَوْمًا
- a day
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- with
- rabbika
- رَبِّكَ
- your Lord
- ka-alfi
- كَأَلْفِ
- (is) like a thousand
- sanatin
- سَنَةٍ
- year(s)
- mimmā
- مِّمَّا
- of what
- taʿuddūna
- تَعُدُّونَ
- you count
And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 47)Tafsir
وَكَاَيِّنْ مِّنْ قَرْيَةٍ اَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ اَخَذْتُهَاۚ وَاِلَيَّ الْمَصِيْرُ ࣖ ٤٨
- waka-ayyin
- وَكَأَيِّن
- And how many
- min
- مِّن
- of
- qaryatin
- قَرْيَةٍ
- a township
- amlaytu
- أَمْلَيْتُ
- I gave respite
- lahā
- لَهَا
- to it
- wahiya
- وَهِىَ
- while it
- ẓālimatun
- ظَالِمَةٌ
- (was) doing wrong
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- akhadhtuhā
- أَخَذْتُهَا
- I seized it
- wa-ilayya
- وَإِلَىَّ
- and to Me
- l-maṣīru
- ٱلْمَصِيرُ
- (is) the destination
And for how many a city did I prolong enjoyment while it was committing wrong. Then I seized it, and to Me is the [final] destination. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 48)Tafsir
قُلْ يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اِنَّمَآ اَنَا۠ لَكُمْ نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ۚ ٤٩
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- "O mankind!
- l-nāsu
- ٱلنَّاسُ
- "O mankind!
- innamā
- إِنَّمَآ
- Only
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- I am
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- to you
- nadhīrun
- نَذِيرٌ
- a warner
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- clear"
Say, "O people, I am only to you a clear warner." (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 49)Tafsir
فَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّرِزْقٌ كَرِيْمٌ ٥٠
- fa-alladhīna
- فَٱلَّذِينَ
- So those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and do
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- righteous deeds -
- lahum
- لَهُم
- for them
- maghfiratun
- مَّغْفِرَةٌ
- (is) forgiveness
- wariz'qun
- وَرِزْقٌ
- and a provision
- karīmun
- كَرِيمٌ
- noble
And those who have believed and done righteous deeds – for them is forgiveness and noble provision. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 50)Tafsir
