حُنَفَاۤءَ لِلّٰهِ غَيْرَ مُشْرِكِيْنَ بِهٖۗ وَمَنْ يُّشْرِكْ بِاللّٰهِ فَكَاَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ فَتَخْطَفُهُ الطَّيْرُ اَوْ تَهْوِيْ بِهِ الرِّيْحُ فِيْ مَكَانٍ سَحِيْقٍ ٣١
- ḥunafāa
- حُنَفَآءَ
- Being upright
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- to Allah
- ghayra
- غَيْرَ
- not
- mush'rikīna
- مُشْرِكِينَ
- associating partners
- bihi
- بِهِۦۚ
- with Him
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yush'rik
- يُشْرِكْ
- associates partners
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- with Allah
- faka-annamā
- فَكَأَنَّمَا
- then (it is) as though
- kharra
- خَرَّ
- he had fallen
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- fatakhṭafuhu
- فَتَخْطَفُهُ
- and (had) snatched him
- l-ṭayru
- ٱلطَّيْرُ
- the birds
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- tahwī
- تَهْوِى
- had blown
- bihi
- بِهِ
- him
- l-rīḥu
- ٱلرِّيحُ
- the wind
- fī
- فِى
- to
- makānin
- مَكَانٍ
- a place
- saḥīqin
- سَحِيقٍ
- far off
Inclining [only] to Allah, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah – it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 31)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ وَمَنْ يُّعَظِّمْ شَعَاۤىِٕرَ اللّٰهِ فَاِنَّهَا مِنْ تَقْوَى الْقُلُوْبِ ٣٢
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- waman
- وَمَن
- and whoever
- yuʿaẓẓim
- يُعَظِّمْ
- honors
- shaʿāira
- شَعَٰٓئِرَ
- (the) Symbols
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- fa-innahā
- فَإِنَّهَا
- then indeed it
- min
- مِن
- (is) from
- taqwā
- تَقْوَى
- (the) piety
- l-qulūbi
- ٱلْقُلُوبِ
- (of) the hearts
That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols [i.e., rites] of Allah – indeed, it is from the piety of hearts. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 32)Tafsir
لَكُمْ فِيْهَا مَنَافِعُ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ مَحِلُّهَآ اِلَى الْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيْقِ ࣖ ٣٣
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- For you
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- manāfiʿu
- مَنَٰفِعُ
- (are) benefits
- ilā
- إِلَىٰٓ
- for
- ajalin
- أَجَلٍ
- a term
- musamman
- مُّسَمًّى
- appointed;
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- maḥilluhā
- مَحِلُّهَآ
- their place of sacrifice
- ilā
- إِلَى
- (is) at
- l-bayti
- ٱلْبَيْتِ
- the House
- l-ʿatīqi
- ٱلْعَتِيقِ
- the Ancient
For you therein [i.e., the animals marked for sacrifice] are benefits for a specified term; then their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 33)Tafsir
وَلِكُلِّ اُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنْسَكًا لِّيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللّٰهِ عَلٰى مَا رَزَقَهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَهِيْمَةِ الْاَنْعَامِۗ فَاِلٰهُكُمْ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ فَلَهٗٓ اَسْلِمُوْاۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُخْبِتِيْنَ ۙ ٣٤
- walikulli
- وَلِكُلِّ
- And for every
- ummatin
- أُمَّةٍ
- nation
- jaʿalnā
- جَعَلْنَا
- We have appointed
- mansakan
- مَنسَكًا
- a rite
- liyadhkurū
- لِّيَذْكُرُوا۟
- that they may mention
- is'ma
- ٱسْمَ
- (the) name
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- mā
- مَا
- what
- razaqahum
- رَزَقَهُم
- He (has) provided them
- min
- مِّنۢ
- of
- bahīmati
- بَهِيمَةِ
- (the) beast
- l-anʿāmi
- ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِۗ
- (of) cattle
- fa-ilāhukum
- فَإِلَٰهُكُمْ
- And your God
- ilāhun
- إِلَٰهٌ
- (is) God
- wāḥidun
- وَٰحِدٌ
- One
- falahu
- فَلَهُۥٓ
- so to Him
- aslimū
- أَسْلِمُوا۟ۗ
- submit
- wabashiri
- وَبَشِّرِ
- And give glad tidings
- l-mukh'bitīna
- ٱلْمُخْبِتِينَ
- (to) the humble ones
And for every [religious] community We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord] (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 34)Tafsir
الَّذِيْنَ اِذَا ذُكِرَ اللّٰهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ وَالصَّابِرِيْنَ عَلٰى مَآ اَصَابَهُمْ وَالْمُقِيْمِى الصَّلٰوةِۙ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ يُنْفِقُوْنَ ٣٥
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- dhukira
- ذُكِرَ
- is mentioned
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah -
- wajilat
- وَجِلَتْ
- fear
- qulūbuhum
- قُلُوبُهُمْ
- their hearts
- wal-ṣābirīna
- وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
- and those who are patient
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- mā
- مَآ
- whatever
- aṣābahum
- أَصَابَهُمْ
- has afflicted them
- wal-muqīmī
- وَٱلْمُقِيمِى
- and those who establish
- l-ṣalati
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
- the prayer
- wamimmā
- وَمِمَّا
- and out of what
- razaqnāhum
- رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ
- We have provided them
- yunfiqūna
- يُنفِقُونَ
- they spend
Who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and [to] the patient over what has afflicted them, and the establishers of prayer and those who spend from what We have provided them. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 35)Tafsir
وَالْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنٰهَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ شَعَاۤىِٕرِ اللّٰهِ لَكُمْ فِيْهَا خَيْرٌۖ فَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَاۤفَّۚ فَاِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوْبُهَا فَكُلُوْا مِنْهَا وَاَطْعِمُوا الْقَانِعَ وَالْمُعْتَرَّۗ كَذٰلِكَ سَخَّرْنٰهَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ ٣٦
- wal-bud'na
- وَٱلْبُدْنَ
- And the camels and cattle -
- jaʿalnāhā
- جَعَلْنَٰهَا
- We have made them
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- min
- مِّن
- among
- shaʿāiri
- شَعَٰٓئِرِ
- (the) Symbols
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- for you
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌۖ
- (is) good
- fa-udh'kurū
- فَٱذْكُرُوا۟
- So mention
- is'ma
- ٱسْمَ
- (the) name
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ʿalayhā
- عَلَيْهَا
- over them
- ṣawāffa
- صَوَآفَّۖ
- (when) lined up;
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- and when
- wajabat
- وَجَبَتْ
- are down
- junūbuhā
- جُنُوبُهَا
- their sides
- fakulū
- فَكُلُوا۟
- then eat
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- from them
- wa-aṭʿimū
- وَأَطْعِمُوا۟
- and feed
- l-qāniʿa
- ٱلْقَانِعَ
- the needy who do not ask
- wal-muʿ'tara
- وَٱلْمُعْتَرَّۚ
- and the needy who ask
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- sakharnāhā
- سَخَّرْنَٰهَا
- We have subjected them
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- to you
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- tashkurūna
- تَشْكُرُونَ
- be grateful
And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols [i.e., rites] of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy [who does not seek aid] and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 36)Tafsir
لَنْ يَّنَالَ اللّٰهَ لُحُوْمُهَا وَلَا دِمَاۤؤُهَا وَلٰكِنْ يَّنَالُهُ التَّقْوٰى مِنْكُمْۗ كَذٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا اللّٰهَ عَلٰى مَا هَدٰىكُمْ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ٣٧
- lan
- لَن
- Will not
- yanāla
- يَنَالَ
- reach
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- luḥūmuhā
- لُحُومُهَا
- their meat
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- dimāuhā
- دِمَآؤُهَا
- their blood
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- but
- yanāluhu
- يَنَالُهُ
- reaches Him
- l-taqwā
- ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ
- the piety
- minkum
- مِنكُمْۚ
- from you
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- sakharahā
- سَخَّرَهَا
- He subjected them
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- to you
- litukabbirū
- لِتُكَبِّرُوا۟
- so that you may magnify
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- for
- mā
- مَا
- what
- hadākum
- هَدَىٰكُمْۗ
- He has guided you
- wabashiri
- وَبَشِّرِ
- And give glad tidings
- l-muḥ'sinīna
- ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
- (to) the good-doers
Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 37)Tafsir
۞ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُدَافِعُ عَنِ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْاۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُوْرٍ ࣖ ٣٨
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- yudāfiʿu
- يُدَٰفِعُ
- defends
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- defends
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوٓا۟ۗ
- believe
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- like
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- every
- khawwānin
- خَوَّانٍ
- treacherous
- kafūrin
- كَفُورٍ
- ungrateful
Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 38)Tafsir
اُذِنَ لِلَّذِيْنَ يُقَاتَلُوْنَ بِاَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوْاۗ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيْرٌ ۙ ٣٩
- udhina
- أُذِنَ
- Permission is given
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- to those who
- yuqātalūna
- يُقَٰتَلُونَ
- are being fought
- bi-annahum
- بِأَنَّهُمْ
- because they
- ẓulimū
- ظُلِمُوا۟ۚ
- were wronged
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- for
- naṣrihim
- نَصْرِهِمْ
- their victory
- laqadīrun
- لَقَدِيرٌ
- (is) surely Able
Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 39)Tafsir
ۨالَّذِيْنَ اُخْرِجُوْا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ اِلَّآ اَنْ يَّقُوْلُوْا رَبُّنَا اللّٰهُ ۗوَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ اللّٰهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَّهُدِّمَتْ صَوَامِعُ وَبِيَعٌ وَّصَلَوٰتٌ وَّمَسٰجِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيْهَا اسْمُ اللّٰهِ كَثِيْرًاۗ وَلَيَنْصُرَنَّ اللّٰهُ مَنْ يَّنْصُرُهٗۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيْزٌ ٤٠
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- ukh'rijū
- أُخْرِجُوا۟
- have been evicted
- min
- مِن
- from
- diyārihim
- دِيَٰرِهِم
- their homes
- bighayri
- بِغَيْرِ
- without
- ḥaqqin
- حَقٍّ
- right
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- an
- أَن
- that
- yaqūlū
- يَقُولُوا۟
- they said
- rabbunā
- رَبُّنَا
- "Our Lord
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۗ
- (is) Allah"
- walawlā
- وَلَوْلَا
- And if not
- dafʿu
- دَفْعُ
- Allah checks
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah checks
- l-nāsa
- ٱلنَّاسَ
- the people
- baʿḍahum
- بَعْضَهُم
- some of them
- bibaʿḍin
- بِبَعْضٍ
- by others
- lahuddimat
- لَّهُدِّمَتْ
- surely (would) have been demolished
- ṣawāmiʿu
- صَوَٰمِعُ
- monasteries
- wabiyaʿun
- وَبِيَعٌ
- and churches
- waṣalawātun
- وَصَلَوَٰتٌ
- and synagogues
- wamasājidu
- وَمَسَٰجِدُ
- and masajid
- yudh'karu
- يُذْكَرُ
- is mentioned
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- us'mu
- ٱسْمُ
- (the) name of Allah
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (the) name of Allah
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًاۗ
- much
- walayanṣuranna
- وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ
- And surely Allah will help
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- And surely Allah will help
- man
- مَن
- (those) who
- yanṣuruhu
- يَنصُرُهُۥٓۗ
- help Him
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- laqawiyyun
- لَقَوِىٌّ
- (is) surely All-Strong
- ʿazīzun
- عَزِيزٌ
- All-Mighty
[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right – only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned [i.e., praised]. And Allah will surely support those who support Him [i.e., His cause]. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might. (QS. [22] Al-Hajj: 40)Tafsir
