Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Anbya Verse 93
Al-Anbya [21]: 93 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَتَقَطَّعُوْٓا اَمْرَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْۗ كُلٌّ اِلَيْنَا رَاجِعُوْنَ ࣖ (الأنبياء : ٢١)
- wataqaṭṭaʿū
- وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟
- But they cut off
- amrahum
- أَمْرَهُم
- their affair
- baynahum
- بَيْنَهُمْۖ
- among themselves
- kullun
- كُلٌّ
- all
- ilaynā
- إِلَيْنَا
- to Us
- rājiʿūna
- رَٰجِعُونَ
- (will) return
Transliteration:
Wa taqatta'ooo amrahum bainahum kullun ilainaaa raaji'oon(QS. al-ʾAnbiyāʾ:93)
English / Sahih Translation:
And [yet] they divided their affair [i.e., that of their religion] among themselves, [but] all to Us will return. (QS. Al-Anbya, ayah 93)

But they, that is to say, some of those being addressed, fragmented their affair among themselves, that is, they became divided in the matter of their religion, and at variance over it -- these are the [different] sects of the Jews and the Christians. God, exalted be He, says; All shall return to Us, and We will requite each according to his deeds.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
وَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ
But they have broken up and differed in their religion among themselves.
meaning, the nations were divided over their Messengers; some of them believed in them and some rejected them.
Allah says;
كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَاجِعُونَ
(And) they all shall return to Us.
meaning, `on the Day of Resurrection, when We will requite each person according to his deeds. If they are good, then he will be rewarded and if they are evil then he will be punished.'
