Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Anbya Verse 85

Mufti Taqi Usmani

And (remember) Ismā‘īl and Idrīs and Dhul-Kifl. Each one of them was of those who observed patience.

And ˹remember˺ Ishmael, Enoch, and Ⱬul-Kifl.[[ Scholars are in disagreement as to whether Ⱬul-Kifl was a prophet or just a righteous man. Those who maintain that he was a prophet identify him with various Biblical prophets such as Ezekiel, Isaiah, and Obadiah.]] They were all steadfast.

And, mention, Ishmael and Idrs and Dh'l-Kifl -- all were of the patient, in [maintaining] obedience to God and staying away from acts of disobedience to Him.

Ismail, Idris and Dhul-Kifl

Allah tells;

وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصَّابِرِينَ



وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُم مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
