Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Anbya Verse 56
Al-Anbya [21]: 56 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قَالَ بَلْ رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ الَّذِيْ فَطَرَهُنَّۖ وَاَنَا۠ عَلٰى ذٰلِكُمْ مِّنَ الشّٰهِدِيْنَ (الأنبياء : ٢١)

- "Nay
- rabbukum
- رَّبُّكُمْ
- your Lord
- rabbu
- رَبُّ
- (is the) Lord
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- and the earth
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the One Who
- faṭarahunna
- فَطَرَهُنَّ
- created them
- wa-anā
- وَأَنَا۠
- and I am
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- to
- dhālikum
- ذَٰلِكُم
- that
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-shāhidīna
- ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
- the witnesses
Transliteration:
Qaala bar Rabbukum Rabbus samaawaati wal ardil lazee fatarahunna wa ana 'alaa zaalikum minash shaahideen(QS. al-ʾAnbiyāʾ:56)
English / Sahih Translation:
He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify. (QS. Al-Anbya, ayah 56)
Mufti Taqi Usmani
He said, “No, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, who has created them, and I am one of those who bear witness to it.

He replied, “In fact, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them ˹both˺. And to that I bear witness.”

English Literal
He said: "But your Lord (is) the skies`/space`s and the earth`s/Planet Earth`s Lord, who created them (B) ,and I am on that from the witnessing/testifying."

Abraham replied, "Your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, who created them, and I bear witness to that.

He said, “Your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the One who created them, and I bear witness to that.
Tafsir jalalayn
He said, `Nay, but your Lord, the [only] One worthy of being worshipped, is the Lord, the Owner, of the heavens and the earth, [the One] Who originated them, [Who] created them without any precedent, and to that, which I have said, I am a witness.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالاْاَرْضِ الَّذِي فَطَرَهُنَّ
He said;"Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them..."
meaning, your Lord, beside Whom there is no other god, is the One Who created the heavens and the earth and all that they contain; He is the One Who initiated their creation; He is the Creator of all things.
وَأَنَا عَلَى ذَلِكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
and to that I am one of the witnesses.
means, and I bear witness that there is no God other than Him and no Lord except Him
