Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Anbya Verse 55
Al-Anbya [21]: 55 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قَالُوْٓا اَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ اَمْ اَنْتَ مِنَ اللّٰعِبِيْنَ (الأنبياء : ٢١)

- أَجِئْتَنَا
- "Have you come to us
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّ
- with the truth
- am
- أَمْ
- or
- anta
- أَنتَ
- you
- mina
- مِنَ
- (are) of
- l-lāʿibīna
- ٱللَّٰعِبِينَ
- those who play?"
Transliteration:
Qaalooo aji'tanaa bil haqqi am anta minal laa'ibeen(QS. al-ʾAnbiyāʾ:55)
English / Sahih Translation:
They said, "Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?" (QS. Al-Anbya, ayah 55)

They said, “Did you come to us with truth or are you one of the triflers?”

They said;"Have you brought us the Truth, or are you one of those who play about?"
They said;`These words that you are saying, are you speaking in jest or are you telling the truth! For we have never heard such a thing before.'
