وَلِسُلَيْمٰنَ الرِّيْحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِيْ بِاَمْرِهٖٓ اِلَى الْاَرْضِ الَّتِيْ بٰرَكْنَا فِيْهَاۗ وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عٰلِمِيْنَ ٨١
- walisulaymāna
- وَلِسُلَيْمَٰنَ
- And to Sulaiman
- l-rīḥa
- ٱلرِّيحَ
- the wind
- ʿāṣifatan
- عَاصِفَةً
- forcefully
- tajrī
- تَجْرِى
- blowing
- bi-amrihi
- بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ
- by his command
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the land
- allatī
- ٱلَّتِى
- which
- bāraknā
- بَٰرَكْنَا
- We blessed
- fīhā
- فِيهَاۚ
- [in it]
- wakunnā
- وَكُنَّا
- And We are
- bikulli
- بِكُلِّ
- of every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- ʿālimīna
- عَٰلِمِينَ
- Knowers
And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 81)Tafsir
وَمِنَ الشَّيٰطِيْنِ مَنْ يَّغُوْصُوْنَ لَهٗ وَيَعْمَلُوْنَ عَمَلًا دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَۚ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حٰفِظِيْنَ ۙ ٨٢
- wamina
- وَمِنَ
- And of
- l-shayāṭīni
- ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ
- the devils
- man
- مَن
- (were some) who
- yaghūṣūna
- يَغُوصُونَ
- would dive
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- wayaʿmalūna
- وَيَعْمَلُونَ
- and would do
- ʿamalan
- عَمَلًا
- work
- dūna
- دُونَ
- other than
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَۖ
- that
- wakunnā
- وَكُنَّا
- And We were
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- of them
- ḥāfiẓīna
- حَٰفِظِينَ
- Guardians
And of the devils [i.e., jinn] were those who dived for him and did work other than that. And We were of them a guardian. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 82)Tafsir
۞ وَاَيُّوْبَ اِذْ نَادٰى رَبَّهٗٓ اَنِّيْ مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَاَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ ۚ ٨٣
- wa-ayyūba
- وَأَيُّوبَ
- And Ayub
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- nādā
- نَادَىٰ
- he called
- rabbahu
- رَبَّهُۥٓ
- (to) his Lord
- annī
- أَنِّى
- "Indeed [I]
- massaniya
- مَسَّنِىَ
- has touched me
- l-ḍuru
- ٱلضُّرُّ
- the adversity
- wa-anta
- وَأَنتَ
- and You
- arḥamu
- أَرْحَمُ
- (are) Most Merciful
- l-rāḥimīna
- ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
- (of) the Merciful"
And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful." (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 83)Tafsir
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهٖ مِنْ ضُرٍّ وَّاٰتَيْنٰهُ اَهْلَهٗ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِنَا وَذِكْرٰى لِلْعٰبِدِيْنَ ۚ ٨٤
- fa-is'tajabnā
- فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا
- So We responded
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- to him
- fakashafnā
- فَكَشَفْنَا
- and We removed
- mā
- مَا
- what
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- (was) on him
- min
- مِن
- of
- ḍurrin
- ضُرٍّۖ
- (the) adversity
- waātaynāhu
- وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ
- And We gave him
- ahlahu
- أَهْلَهُۥ
- his family
- wamith'lahum
- وَمِثْلَهُم
- and (the) like thereof
- maʿahum
- مَّعَهُمْ
- with them
- raḥmatan
- رَحْمَةً
- (as) Mercy
- min
- مِّنْ
- from Ourselves
- ʿindinā
- عِندِنَا
- from Ourselves
- wadhik'rā
- وَذِكْرَىٰ
- and a reminder
- lil'ʿābidīna
- لِلْعَٰبِدِينَ
- for the worshippers
So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers [of Allah]. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 84)Tafsir
وَاِسْمٰعِيْلَ وَاِدْرِيْسَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِۗ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصّٰبِرِيْنَ ۙ ٨٥
- wa-is'māʿīla
- وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ
- And Ismail
- wa-id'rīsa
- وَإِدْرِيسَ
- and Idris
- wadhā
- وَذَا
- and Dhul-Kifl
- l-kif'li
- ٱلْكِفْلِۖ
- and Dhul-Kifl
- kullun
- كُلٌّ
- all
- mina
- مِّنَ
- (were) of
- l-ṣābirīna
- ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
- the patient ones
And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 85)Tafsir
وَاَدْخَلْنٰهُمْ فِيْ رَحْمَتِنَاۗ اِنَّهُمْ مِّنَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ ٨٦
- wa-adkhalnāhum
- وَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْ
- And We admitted them
- fī
- فِى
- in
- raḥmatinā
- رَحْمَتِنَآۖ
- Our Mercy
- innahum
- إِنَّهُم
- Indeed they
- mina
- مِّنَ
- (were) of
- l-ṣāliḥīna
- ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
- the righteous
And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 86)Tafsir
وَذَا النُّوْنِ اِذْ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ اَنْ لَّنْ نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادٰى فِى الظُّلُمٰتِ اَنْ لَّآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰنَكَ اِنِّيْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ۚ ٨٧
- wadhā
- وَذَا
- And Dhun-Nun
- l-nūni
- ٱلنُّونِ
- And Dhun-Nun
- idh
- إِذ
- when
- dhahaba
- ذَّهَبَ
- he went
- mughāḍiban
- مُغَٰضِبًا
- (while) angry
- faẓanna
- فَظَنَّ
- and thought
- an
- أَن
- that
- lan
- لَّن
- never
- naqdira
- نَّقْدِرَ
- We would decree
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- upon him
- fanādā
- فَنَادَىٰ
- Then he called
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ẓulumāti
- ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
- the darkness(es)
- an
- أَن
- that
- lā
- لَّآ
- "(There is) no
- ilāha
- إِلَٰهَ
- god
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- anta
- أَنتَ
- You
- sub'ḥānaka
- سُبْحَٰنَكَ
- Glory be to You!
- innī
- إِنِّى
- Indeed, [I]
- kuntu
- كُنتُ
- I am
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers"
And [mention] the man of the fish [i.e., Jonah], when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers." (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 87)Tafsir
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗۙ وَنَجَّيْنٰهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّۗ وَكَذٰلِكَ نُـْۨجِى الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٨٨
- fa-is'tajabnā
- فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا
- So We responded
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- to him
- wanajjaynāhu
- وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ
- and We saved him
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-ghami
- ٱلْغَمِّۚ
- the distress
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- nunjī
- نُۨجِى
- We save
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers
So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 88)Tafsir
وَزَكَرِيَّآ اِذْ نَادٰى رَبَّهٗ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِيْ فَرْدًا وَّاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْوٰرِثِيْنَ ۚ ٨٩
- wazakariyyā
- وَزَكَرِيَّآ
- And Zakariya
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- nādā
- نَادَىٰ
- he called
- rabbahu
- رَبَّهُۥ
- (to) his Lord
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- "My Lord!
- lā
- لَا
- (Do) not
- tadharnī
- تَذَرْنِى
- leave me
- fardan
- فَرْدًا
- alone
- wa-anta
- وَأَنتَ
- while You
- khayru
- خَيْرُ
- (are) [the] Best
- l-wārithīna
- ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ
- (of) the inheritors"
And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while You are the best of inheritors." (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 89)Tafsir
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ ۖوَوَهَبْنَا لَهٗ يَحْيٰى وَاَصْلَحْنَا لَهٗ زَوْجَهٗۗ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا يُسٰرِعُوْنَ فِى الْخَيْرٰتِ وَيَدْعُوْنَنَا رَغَبًا وَّرَهَبًاۗ وَكَانُوْا لَنَا خٰشِعِيْنَ ٩٠
- fa-is'tajabnā
- فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا
- So We responded
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- to him
- wawahabnā
- وَوَهَبْنَا
- and We bestowed
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- on him
- yaḥyā
- يَحْيَىٰ
- Yahya
- wa-aṣlaḥnā
- وَأَصْلَحْنَا
- and We cured
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- zawjahu
- زَوْجَهُۥٓۚ
- his wife
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- Indeed they
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- used (to)
- yusāriʿūna
- يُسَٰرِعُونَ
- hasten
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-khayrāti
- ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ
- good deeds
- wayadʿūnanā
- وَيَدْعُونَنَا
- and they supplicate to Us
- raghaban
- رَغَبًا
- (in) hope
- warahaban
- وَرَهَبًاۖ
- and fear
- wakānū
- وَكَانُوا۟
- and they were
- lanā
- لَنَا
- to Us
- khāshiʿīna
- خَٰشِعِينَ
- humbly submissive
So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 90)Tafsir
