اَمِ اتَّخَذُوْٓا اٰلِهَةً مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ هُمْ يُنْشِرُوْنَ ٢١
- ami
- أَمِ
- Or
- ittakhadhū
- ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟
- (have) they taken
- ālihatan
- ءَالِهَةً
- gods
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yunshirūna
- يُنشِرُونَ
- raise (the dead)?
Or have they [i.e., men] taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]? (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 21)Tafsir
لَوْ كَانَ فِيْهِمَآ اٰلِهَةٌ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ لَفَسَدَتَاۚ فَسُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ ٢٢
- law
- لَوْ
- If
- kāna
- كَانَ
- (there) were
- fīhimā
- فِيهِمَآ
- in both of them
- ālihatun
- ءَالِهَةٌ
- gods
- illā
- إِلَّا
- besides
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- lafasadatā
- لَفَسَدَتَاۚ
- surely they (would) have been ruined
- fasub'ḥāna
- فَسُبْحَٰنَ
- So glorified
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (is) Allah
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- Lord
- l-ʿarshi
- ٱلْعَرْشِ
- (of) the Throne
- ʿammā
- عَمَّا
- (above) what
- yaṣifūna
- يَصِفُونَ
- they attribute
Had there been within them [i.e., the heavens and earth] gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 22)Tafsir
لَا يُسْـَٔلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْـَٔلُوْنَ ٢٣
- lā
- لَا
- Not
- yus'alu
- يُسْـَٔلُ
- He (can) be questioned
- ʿammā
- عَمَّا
- about what
- yafʿalu
- يَفْعَلُ
- He does
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- but they
- yus'alūna
- يُسْـَٔلُونَ
- will be questioned
He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 23)Tafsir
اَمِ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِهٖٓ اٰلِهَةً ۗقُلْ هَاتُوْا بُرْهَانَكُمْۚ هٰذَا ذِكْرُ مَنْ مَّعِيَ وَذِكْرُ مَنْ قَبْلِيْۗ بَلْ اَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَۙ الْحَقَّ فَهُمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ٢٤
- ami
- أَمِ
- Or
- ittakhadhū
- ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
- (have) they taken

- مِن
- besides Him
- dūnihi
- دُونِهِۦٓ
- besides Him
- ālihatan
- ءَالِهَةًۖ
- gods?
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- hātū
- هَاتُوا۟
- "Bring
- bur'hānakum
- بُرْهَٰنَكُمْۖ
- your proof
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- This
- dhik'ru
- ذِكْرُ
- (is) a Reminder
- man
- مَن
- (for those) who
- maʿiya
- مَّعِىَ
- (are) with me
- wadhik'ru
- وَذِكْرُ
- and a Reminder
- man
- مَن
- (for those) who
- qablī
- قَبْلِىۗ
- (were) before me"
- bal
- بَلْ
- But
- aktharuhum
- أَكْثَرُهُمْ
- most of them
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- know
- l-ḥaqa
- ٱلْحَقَّۖ
- the truth
- fahum
- فَهُم
- so they
- muʿ'riḍūna
- مُّعْرِضُونَ
- (are) averse
Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muhammad], "Produce your proof. This [Quran] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me." But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 24)Tafsir
وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رَّسُوْلٍ اِلَّا نُوْحِيْٓ اِلَيْهِ اَنَّهٗ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنَا۠ فَاعْبُدُوْنِ ٢٥
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- We sent
- min
- مِن
- before you
- qablika
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- min
- مِن
- any
- rasūlin
- رَّسُولٍ
- Messenger
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- nūḥī
- نُوحِىٓ
- We reveal(ed)
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- to him
- annahu
- أَنَّهُۥ
- that [He]
- lā
- لَآ
- "(There is) no
- ilāha
- إِلَٰهَ
- god
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- Me
- fa-uʿ'budūni
- فَٱعْبُدُونِ
- so worship Me"
And We sent not before you any messenger except We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me." (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 25)Tafsir
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحٰنَهٗ ۗبَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُوْنَ ۙ ٢٦
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say
- ittakhadha
- ٱتَّخَذَ
- "Has taken
- l-raḥmānu
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
- the Most Gracious
- waladan
- وَلَدًاۗ
- a son"
- sub'ḥānahu
- سُبْحَٰنَهُۥۚ
- Glorified is He!
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- ʿibādun
- عِبَادٌ
- (they are) slaves
- muk'ramūna
- مُّكْرَمُونَ
- honored
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, they are [but] honored servants. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 26)Tafsir
لَا يَسْبِقُوْنَهٗ بِالْقَوْلِ وَهُمْ بِاَمْرِهٖ يَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٧
- lā
- لَا
- Not
- yasbiqūnahu
- يَسْبِقُونَهُۥ
- they (can) precede Him
- bil-qawli
- بِٱلْقَوْلِ
- in word
- wahum
- وَهُم
- and they
- bi-amrihi
- بِأَمْرِهِۦ
- by His command
- yaʿmalūna
- يَعْمَلُونَ
- act
They cannot precede Him in word, and they act by His command. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 27)Tafsir
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُوْنَۙ اِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضٰى وَهُمْ مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهٖ مُشْفِقُوْنَ ٢٨
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- He knows
- mā
- مَا
- what
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- (is) before them
- aydīhim
- أَيْدِيهِمْ
- (is) before them
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- khalfahum
- خَلْفَهُمْ
- (is) behind them
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yashfaʿūna
- يَشْفَعُونَ
- they (can) intercede
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- limani
- لِمَنِ
- for whom
- ir'taḍā
- ٱرْتَضَىٰ
- He approves
- wahum
- وَهُم
- And they
- min
- مِّنْ
- from
- khashyatihi
- خَشْيَتِهِۦ
- fear of Him
- mush'fiqūna
- مُشْفِقُونَ
- stand in awe
He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves. And they, from fear of Him, are apprehensive. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 28)Tafsir
۞ وَمَنْ يَّقُلْ مِنْهُمْ اِنِّيْٓ اِلٰهٌ مِّنْ دُوْنِهٖ فَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِيْهِ جَهَنَّمَۗ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ࣖ ٢٩
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yaqul
- يَقُلْ
- says
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْ
- of them
- innī
- إِنِّىٓ
- "Indeed, I am
- ilāhun
- إِلَٰهٌ
- a god
- min
- مِّن
- besides Him"
- dūnihi
- دُونِهِۦ
- besides Him"
- fadhālika
- فَذَٰلِكَ
- Then that
- najzīhi
- نَجْزِيهِ
- We will recompense
- jahannama
- جَهَنَّمَۚ
- (with) Hell
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- najzī
- نَجْزِى
- We recompense
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
And whoever of them should say, "Indeed, I am a god besides Him" – that one We would recompense with Hell. Thus do We recompense the wrongdoers. (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 29)Tafsir
اَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اَنَّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنٰهُمَاۗ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاۤءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّۗ اَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ٣٠
- awalam
- أَوَلَمْ
- Do not
- yara
- يَرَ
- see
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوٓا۟
- disbelieved
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- and the earth
- kānatā
- كَانَتَا
- were
- ratqan
- رَتْقًا
- a joined entity
- fafataqnāhumā
- فَفَتَقْنَٰهُمَاۖ
- then We parted them
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- and We made
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-māi
- ٱلْمَآءِ
- [the] water
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- living thing?
- ḥayyin
- حَىٍّۖ
- living thing?
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- Then will not
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- they believe?
Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and then We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? (QS. [21] Al-Anbya: 30)Tafsir
