Al-Qur'an Surah Taha Verse 105

Taha [20]: 105 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَيَسْـَٔلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الْجِبَالِ فَقُلْ يَنْسِفُهَا رَبِّيْ نَسْفًا ۙ (طه : ٢٠)

wayasalūnaka
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ
And they ask you

the mountains

فَقُلْ
so say
yansifuhā
يَنسِفُهَا
"Will blast them
rabbī
رَبِّى
my Lord
nasfan
نَسْفًا
(into) particles

Transliteration:

Wa yas'aloonaka 'anil jibaali faqul yansifuhaa Rabbee nasfaa (QS. Ṭāʾ Hāʾ:105)

English / Sahih Translation:

And they ask you about the mountains, so say, "My Lord will blow them away with a blast. (QS. Taha, ayah 105)

They ask you about the mountains. So, say (to them), “My Lord will crush them into dust thoroughly,

English Literal

And they ask/question you about the mountains , so say: "My Lord explodes/destroys it explosion/destruction."

Tafsir jalalayn

They will question you concerning the mountains, how will they be on the Day of Resurrection? Say, to them; `My Lord will scatter them as ashes, by pulverising them into moving sand and dispersing them with the wind;

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

The destruction of the Mountains, and the Earth becomes a Smooth Plain

Allah says,

وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْجِبَالِ

And they ask you concerning the mountains.

This is a question, will they remain on the Day of Resurrection or will they cease to exist

فَقُلْ يَنسِفُهَا رَبِّي نَسْفًا




Say;"My Lord will blast them and scatter them as particles of dust."

This means that He will take them away from their places, wipe them out and remove them completely
