Al-Qur'an Surah Taha Verse 103

Taha [20]: 103 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

يَّتَخَافَتُوْنَ بَيْنَهُمْ اِنْ لَّبِثْتُمْ اِلَّا عَشْرًا (طه : ٢٠)

They are murmuring

Transliteration:

Yatakhaafatoona bainahum il labistum illaa 'ashraa (QS. Ṭāʾ Hāʾ:103)

English / Sahih Translation:

They will murmur among themselves, "You remained not but ten [days in the world]." (QS. Taha, ayah 103)

and will be whispering among themselves, “You did not remain (in graves) more than ten (days)”.

Tafsir jalalayn

They will whisper to one another, speaking secretly amongst themselves; `You have tarried, in this world, only ten nights', with the [full ten] days.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

يَتَخَافَتُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ

They will speak in a very low voice to each other.

Ibn Abbas said,

"This means whispering among themselves."

This means that some of them will be saying to others,

إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلاَّ عَشْرًا



You stayed not longer than ten.

meaning in the abode of the worldly life, you only tarried there for a little while. The time was equivalent to ten days or so.

Allah, the Exalted, then says
